Delta’s Current Home Environment
Quiet. I work all the time, and I go to school at night also. I have an older dog, a little 10lb dog, that Delta likes to play with, she’s always gentle with her. I also have teenager, who can be quite loud, and playful, and run around the house….she loves getting Delta all excited and running around the house. Occasionally Delta sleeps in the bed with my daughter also.
Delta’s Current Family:
I am a single mom. I work two jobs and am trying to finish my undergrad. Sundays are for church and relaxing…most Sundays. My mother lives with us and helps cart my daughter around to various activities and church. She also helps, tremendously, with keeping up the house and making sure we all eat a proper dinner, on top of working full time herself.
Delta’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Delta loves to run around, she has lots of energy. She also loves her rope toys, especially the ones with the hard bone pieces on them. Her favorite meal is when we mix wet, canned, dog food in with her dry dog food as a special treat on the weekends. She loves to play outside with Marni, our little dog. She absolutely LOVES walking around the neighborhood on her leash, although she still pulls quite a bit, and doesn’t get to do that very often.
Cute Delta Story:
The sweetest thing I’ve ever seen her do, and she’s done this many times, when it’s raining outside and both dogs are outside to do their business, when they’re done, Delta stands over the little dog to block her from the rain. It’s so sweet.
Why is Delta Being Rehomed?
Delta is so sweet and so smart, and it breaks my heart that she spends so much time alone. I love her, my whole family does, but I think she could be happier with a family who can give her the attention she needs and deserves. She spends so much time in her crate while we are all out of the house during the day. I had so much more time when we got her when she was a puppy. Unfortunately, our situation has changed. As much as I don’t want to rehome her, I’m crying as I write this, I think it’s selfish to keep her. She is so happy and playful, and she deserves better than what I can give her right now.
