Meet Yuri, a delightful older German Shepherd Aussie Siberian Husky mix dog for adoption in Wahiawa, Hawaii, just outside of Honolulu. This darling dog is 12 years young, and still playful and full of joy. Yuri is in good health, and has been spayed, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Yuri is a small to medium sized dog, weighing 35 pounds. She loves children and is very sweet and gentle with them. Yuri enjoys the company of other dogs and is good with all pets. She is house-broken and obedience trained. Such a good girl.

Yuri’s owner loves her so much, but having to recently move to a small apartment, she is not able to give Yuri the environment and companionship she needs and deserves.

Yuri would be so much happier with retired owners who live in a home with a nice fenced yard for her to enjoy. She thrives on being with her humans, and would love to be the cherished companion of owners who have all the time in the world for her.

Yuri’s Personality

Yuri is very sweet and docile. She is not an alpha dog at all. She loves to cuddle and have her belly and the back of her ears rubbed. She is an older lady, but still has a playful heart. She likes to play tug. She is good around children, but she would probably do best in a home with preschool+ aged kids.

She is an amazing dog, and has been a great buddy. This has not been an easy decision.

Why is Yuri Being Rehomed?

I am a single-mother, working full-time, and we had to move into an apartment. The living environment is not the best for Yuri, who should have a yard and a companion who is more available to play with her and give her exercise.

Yuri’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

She loves being with people, and would do best in a home with owners who are retired or work alternating shifts. She would love to live in a home with a fenced yard, but as long as her owners can give her the exercise she needs to stay happy and healthy, she will shine.
