Egon – Handsome Black & White APBT Seeks Loving Home as Only Dog – Supplies Included – Houston TX

Pitbull for adoption

Egon is great big bundle of love. This beautiful, healthy 85 pound dog is an American Pitbull Terrier looking for a loving, forever home. He currently lives in Houston, Texas, but would be happy to come and live with you – even if you are in another city or state. He is very handsome with his black and white coat, and has a personality to match. He loves people and is a wonderful companion. He’s a very relaxed boy who loves hanging out with you, no matter if it’s watching tv, working in the yard, cooking (his favorite – he doubles as an instant floor cleaner!) or going for a nice relaxed walk.

Egon is very intelligent and a great listener. He’s always delighted to see you when you come home – even if you have only been away a few minutes! Egon loves his toys, (or at least shredding them!) and is a big fan of treats and tummy rubs. He’ll do almost anything for his favorite treat. He’s learned some commands, and is well on his way towards leash training. He does need a strong owner when it comes to the leash and going for walks, as he can pull pretty hard. A Halti harness would probably be a great behavior modification tool for Egon.

Egon is great with strangers and enjoys the company of children. He has never been around toddlers or small kids, but he has shown to be very good with older kids and loves to play and hang out with them.  This boy is microchipped, fully vaccinated, crate trained and house broken. A ready-to-love dog looking for a great family to love him!

Egon is being rehomed by his owners, who are very heartbroken to have to make this very difficult decision. Unfortunately Egon does not get along with other dogs, and with 2 dogs in the home, this has become an ongoing issue. The family want to find Egon a great new home where he can be the only dog. He really prefers having his people all to himself.

Egons’ perfect new home will be with responsible folks who love the breed and understand them. He wants to be a first hand member of the family, enjoying indoor creature comforts and hanging out with everyone. He is really good on his own, and is used to being crated during the day while his owners are at work – he loves catching up on his sleep!

Egon needs a securely fenced yard to play in and people who will give him the love, time, attention and care he needs and deserves. This beautiful boy will be rehomed with all of his belongings. Please offer Egon a loving home today. If you have questions about Egon, please call Debbie Moore toll free at (888) 720-3322. If you would like to meet Egon and his owners in their home, please fill out our REQUEST TO MEET A PET form at http://petrehoming.net/adopt-a-pet/. Once received, we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

There is a $75 adoption processing fee (to the successful adopters only). All supplies will be included.

Personality

Gets excited around new people, otherwise very calm around the house. Mostly likes to sleep and get his belly rubbed. Likes toys, likes training exercises and treats. Gets scared of thunder and will try to cuddle on the couch with you. Very good when it comes to bath time. He’s not much of a barker so he’s generally very quiet. If you’re looking for more of a chill type of dog that will hang with you while watching tv, he’s the dog for you. Doesn’t need much exercise. Egon likes rope toys and playing catch with a ball. He loves learning new tricks because that means treats! He enjoys walks but is still not fully leash trained. We’ve been working on leash training him for the past 2 months but still pulls when he gets excited. Knows the commands “Sit, lay down, go to your bed, touch.”
