ADOPTED – Golden Retriever Border Collie Mix Dog San Antonio TX – Meet Freddy

Freddy golden retriever mix dog adoption san antonio tx

Freddy has been adopted. Thank you for your interest.

Looking for a Golden Retriever for adoption in San Antonio? How about adopting a Border Collie? Freddy combines the best of both breeds into one, ultra-cute little gold and white body. He is one of nature’s designer dogs – and they don’t come any more adorable than Freddy.

Freddy is 8 months old and weighs 50 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on shots, crate-trained and very healthy. Freddy is not quite house-trained, but a dog lover with lots of time to spend with him will easily accomplish the task. Freddy is eager-to-please and very smart.

Freddy is good with other dogs and loves respectful, gentle children. He is not sure what to make of cats, and is best suited for a cat-free home, unless the cats in question are very dog-friendly.

Freddy still has some puppy behaviors such as chewing to be broken of, but at just 8 months of age, this is pretty normal and something he will grow out of with patience and positive reinforcement.

Freddy’s owner is devastated to have to find him a new home, but with her work schedule so demanding, it is not fair to Freddy to be crated all day. She is dearly hoping to find Freddy the loving forever home that he needs and deserves with dog lovers who will cherish him, give him patience and unconditional love, and mold him into the amazing family companion he is destined to become.

Freddy will be rehomed with all supplies and accessories. He is a ready-to-love dog just waiting to steal the hearts of his new family. If you have room in your life and home for this wonderful and very precious 8 month old Golden Retriever Border Collie mix puppy, please request to meet Freddy today. He can’t wait to wag and wiggle his way into your heart and home. Adopt Freddy today.

Freddy’s Personality

He is lovable
Likes to lay down near me
Lays his head on my lap when he wants his belly rubbed
Friendly with strangers. Likes children and other dogs
Has never shown aggression. Would run rather than fight with other dogs

Freddy’s Current Home Environment

He is allowed full range of my home. My house is four bedrooms, sitting area, kitchen, living and dining area. Upstairs office, where he spends a fair amount of time with me while I work. He sleeps in his crate at night.

Freddy’s Current Family:

I am single with no other family in the home. It has been just me and him.

Freddy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He likes pillows, stuffed animals, and a favorite blanket he drags around the house.
He likes to run in the backyard. He especially enjoys going to the park to play with other dogs. He also likes to fetch.
He eats Purina dry dog food along with meaty burgers which I give to him mixed. He eats three times a day. He gets treats like peanut butter crackers, and a scoop of ice cream in the evening when he has been a good dog.

Cute Freddy Story:

I left him in the backyard for a few hours and I returned and he had destroyed my “papa son” chair with cotton and stuffing spread all over the back yard and the cotton was in his face and mouth. His response when I scolded him was a look on his face…that said…”Who me? What’s the problem, I did not do anything.” I could not be mad…he was just being a dog. I had to laugh.

Why is Freddy Being Rehomed?

I had a nasty fall which resulted in my left arm being left stiff with limited mobility. I am unable to manage him. I have a very busy schedule that prevents me from providing him the stimulation he needs as a young pup.

Freddy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A person or family who will treat him well as I have treated him. A good home with family members who will treat him like he is part of the family. Keep him in the house as a house dog.
