Mixed Breed Dog For Adoption 2

Penny has found her forever home. This sweet girl was very popular among prospective adopters, and we were able to place her in a great home within just 10 days. We had many offers from folks interested in adopting Penny, and thank everyone for their kindness in opening their hearts and homes to her.

Here is how our rehoming team presented Penny to attract her new family:

Looking for a love dog? Penny is very special! Just 5 years old and full of playfulness, this adorable Miniature Dachsund/Chihuahua mix (Chi-Weenie) is as sweet as she looks. She has a gorgeous black and tan long coat, and big brown eyes that look up at you adoringly.

Penny loves kids who are old enough to know not to try and poke, hit, squish or grab her, and gets along very well with other dogs. She chases cats, so homes with cats would not be a good fit.

Penny is perfectly house broken, spayed, up to date on shots and ready to love. She will bring all of her supplies with her to her new home.

Her ideal home will be with a family with older children and a doggie playmate for her. A securely fenced yard would be great as well. She would also be happy in an apartment setting with a retired or semi-retired person or couple. Her main requirement is someone who can give this sweet girl the love, time, attention and exercise she needs and very much deserves.

If you would are interested in offering Penny a good home and would like to meet her, please fill out our online information form using the link below. Once received, our staff will contact you to discuss your application and make arrangements for you to meet Penny and her owner at a mutually convenient time and place.

Penny’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Looking for a loving home for Penny with people who have lots of time to spend with her. She would love to have a dog playmate and some great kids older than 8 to pllay with. She likes to chase cats, so no cats in the home is best.

A retired person or couple would also be great. Penny would prefer a fenced back yard to play and sun herself in, but apartment with a good deck, as long as you can take her for a walk each day would be fine.

Additional Comments:

Owner would like to stay in touch for the first several months to make sure Penny is doing OK and settling in.
