Soucy’s Current Home Environment

We recently moved from the Dominican Republic, where we had a large yard, and Soucy and our other dog Pollock ran at full speed and played all day. Here in Venice we have MUCH less space, so we take Soucy out several times a day to give her exercise. We do not have any children, but she seems to relate well to children we meet outside.

Soucy’s Current Family:

Two adults, artists. I am in grad school and my partner works from home, so Soucy has company all day.

Soucy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Soucy loves to go for walks, to play with other dogs her size. She eats grain-free dry dog food. She loves meat if she can get it.

Cute Soucy Story:

I suffer from major depression, and some days it is really hard for me to get out of bed. Soucy will come into the bed with me, and press her body against mine to help me feel better.
She and Pollock (our other dog) jump, roll, run, growl (playfully) and play all day long. They always make us laugh.

Why is Soucy Being Rehomed?

All of a sudden Soucy started growling, barking and baring her teeth at my partner any time he tries to come near me. He is not willing to try to retrain her, and wants her out of the house tomorrow.

Soucy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Loving, willing to retrain her if necessary, able to take her out several times a day.
