Tango - German Shepherd For Adoption California 4

We have just learned that Tango’s owners are going to be able to keep him. That is always the best news! Thank you for your interest in this very precious boy!

Hi, My name is Tango!

Tango - german shepherd dog for adoption in los gatos ca

Tango - german shepherd for adoption california 7Tango is the epitome of “Mans’ Best Friend”. This gorgeous and very sweet German Shepherd dog is just 5 years old. She weighs 75 pounds and is very healthy. Tango has been spayed, is up to date on shots, micro-chipped, house trained and crate trained.

She has such an affectionate personality. She loves her people so much and is so eager to please. She is incredibly smart and loves to go places with her owners. She is great in the car and loves to enjoy outdoor adventures.

Tango is great with children, but because of an unfortunate situation that resulted in the death of another small dog in the family, Tango needs to be in a home with no small pets such as small dogs or cats.

Finding a good home for Tango is heartbreaking for her owners. They are dearly hoping to find this sweet girl the love and adoration she needs and deserves. This is a dog that gives so much and asks for little in return. She is a wonderful companion, and will make the right family very happy. They would love to keep in touch with her in her new home, but only if that is OK with her new owners.

Tango will need owners who have a yard with a securely fenced yard, and who have plenty of time to give her the attention and companionship she deserves and thrives upon.

Please offer Tango a loving forever home today. She can’t wait to dazzle you with her smile and win you over with the sheer warmth of her amazing personality.

Tango’s Personality

1. Affectionate
2. Eager to learn
3. Adaptable (just as willing to relax as she is to go on long adventures)
4. Very intelligent
5. Easy (doesn’t dig, doesn’t chew up anything – no significant behavioral issues).

Tango’s Current Home Environment

We live in the mountains on ten acres of land. Tango has access to the inside and outside (fenced area) via the doggy door. We also have a secured outdoor kennel/dog run. She sleeps indoors with the family.

Tango’s Current Family:

Our family and home consists of me (a single Mom), and my two children. My older daughter is in college and my son is in high school. We are home quite a bit during the day – often on & off. We have another small dog as well as two cats.

Tango’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She loves stuffed animals, and will enthusiastically carry them around with her (without destroying them).

Cute Tango Story:

Tango gets so excited to see us when we get home – she has figured out how to open the doggy door (when it is secured, not locked). She’ll routinely open it and run outside to greet us!

Why is Tango Being Rehomed?

Tango got into a fight with one of our small dogs after having been inadvertently locked in a crate together for several hours. The smaller dog died. We have been advised that she should not be around small animals moving forward. However, we do not believe the incident would have happened if she had not been confined in the crate.

Tango’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We are looking for her to be placed in an only pet household – likely with an “experienced” owner. She wants to be part of the family – whether that is being active or just having her lay by your feet. We are looking for someone who will adore her, and include her as part of the group.

Additional Comments:

We would like to stay in touch, but understand if the new family would prefer not to.
