From her owner:

Hi Debbie,

Great news- both adoptions went very smoothly with both cats today!! I have no concerns whatsoever with the new owners and I think both cats will thrive in their new environments. It’s a huge weight off my mind, thank you so much for all your help. I’m glad they both have great homes and didn’t even have to have a foster home. Thank you for providing an invaluable service!! I am forever grateful.

Hi, My name is Thelma!

Louise        To say that I am stunning would be an understatement! I am a long haired grey and white female cat aged 3. I am a very friendly, people oriented cat with amazing green eyes and incredible grey and white markings. My name is Thelma, and I am bonded to my sister cat, Louise. Although we can be adopted separately, we would be so happy if we could find a loving home together.

I am very healthy, spayed and up to date on my shots. I am a very clean girl – I always use my litter box and my cat tree for scratching.

Me and Louise will bring all of our supplies along with us! All you need to provide is lots of love and a safe, healthy home for us.

Our perfect home would be with a single, couple or family with older children. We are used to having a quiet home and like to spend a good bit of our time lounging and bird watching from sunny windows. We would probably not be a good choice for a home with small children. We do get along fine with other cats and probably dogs – if they are the cat-friendly type.

Thelma3Our owner is very sad to have to find us a new home, but her circumstances have changed and she is having to make a move across the country, to a job with lots of travel involved. She wants us to be happy, and feels that we would be better off in a loving home with people who can cherish and spend lots of time with us.

Please offer us a home today, whether you adopt us separately – or as a matched set. We are both wonderful “ladies” and will add immeasurable love, joy, laughter and companionship to your home.

Thelma2Thelma’s Personality

Thelma is quiet but loving! She likes to sit near you all the time and is very calm. She will follow you around and is happy just to be near you. She loves to be pet and brushed but doesn’t beg and isn’t loud. She doesn’t like to be picked up or having nails clipped but can be coaxed.

Thelma’s Current Home Environment

Quiet apartment with lots of windows and light! Lots of noises and birds to watch.

Thelma’s Current Family:

Just me and my roommate who is not home very often, and Thelma and her sister Louise.

Thelma’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Thelma loves treats of any kind! She doesn’t really eat human food, but she does like wet food every now and then. She also likes to play with shoelaces, but mostly likes to watch birds and lay on her back like an otter.

Cute Thelma Story:

Thelma recently got a lion haircut because she had some mats in her fur. Afterward, she pranced around like she knew she looked ridiculous! She loves laying on her back and watching everything going on upside down!

Why is Thelma Being Rehomed?

I am moving cross country for a new job. Besides not wanting to put my cats through the stress of driving or flying across the country, my new job requires occasional long hours and a fair amount of travel, sometimes last minute, and I have no one who could care for them when I have to travel.

Thelma’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Thelma (and her sister Louise) are used to a calm environment without kids or other pets. They would probably get along with other pets after awhile, and older kids as well, but would probably do best in a small family where they can mostly do their own thing. They both are very loving and cuddly and sweet… on their own terms of course!
