This 5 year old champagne mink Tonkinese cat is in excellent health. She weighs just under 10 pounds. And has a gorgeous set of blue eyes.

Lindy has been spayed, is up to date on her shots and has been microchipped. She is a ready to love cat with so much to offer the right owner.

Lindy came to live with her current owner after her original mom, a breeder, fell ill with terminal cancer.

While Lindy is a very sweet and affectionate cat on her own, she does not appreciate sharing her space with other cats. Her owner already had 2 cats when Lindy came into the home, and as much as they’ve tried to make things work, she simply will not coexist with other cats peacefully.

Lindy’s ideal home will be as an only cat in an adults only situation. On her own, once she feels comfortable in safe, there is no more affectionate or sweet a cat to be found.

She does get along well with cat friendly dogs. Although she has never been aggressive towards children, they do frighten her and she would be better suited for an adults only home as a result.

Lindy’s Personality

Lindy is very shy, but once she gets to know you she is extremely sweet & loving! She purrs like crazy and rubs all over me. She also loves to sleep next to & on me, as well as under the covers. She loves to play with toys and sit on her climbers.

Why is Lindy Being Rehomed?

I took Lindy in from a breeder in California who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and therefore needed to rehome some of her Tonkinese. The breeder did suggest that Lindy be the only cat in the household; however due to her situation I decided to try to see if she would work out in my home. I have had her since last September, and though things have improved, she is still aggressive with my other two, especially my little boy. It is absolutely heartbreaking to be in this situation; however the happiness and safety of my other two Kids must come first. I also have a 2yr. old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Lindy absolutely loves him; therefore she would probably do okay in a home with a dog.
