She tends to be shy when first meeting a person, but she warms up and loves to show you how talented she is at hunting the feather thingy. She takes this job very seriously, and is so fun to watch as she pounces and stalks the feathery prey.
Ren is just 3 years old. She weighs about 13 pounds and has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and litter trained – a ready-to-love cat. She is best suited for a home where she can be the only pet, and with someone who lives in a quiet home with a strong routine. These 2 items on her new home wish list are important, since she does tend to be shy and a bit of a “scaredy cat” when something or someone new enters her life. A strong routine and a home without too many surprises will allow her to stay calm and happy.
Ren’s owner loves her very much, but is having difficulty financially and is unable to afford the food, supplies, cat litter and routine veterinary care that Ren requires. She is a healthy cat, but some recent issues with peeing outside the litter box prompted a visit to the vet and a diagnosis of Urinary Tract Infection. Ren received treatment for the condition, but her owner is not able to take her back in to the vet for a re-check. Most cat owners will agree that the costs of veterinary care can be very difficult to afford.
Ren has now been trained to use a puppy pee pad for number 1, and her litter box for number 2. An experienced cat lover with the time and know-how should be able to train her to begin using a secondary litter box for pee, and do some detective work to pinpoint exactly why the behavior came about. Cats are mysterious creatures, and Ren is a “purrfect” example. Who knows, maybe she is a good candidate for toilet training?

Why is Ren Being Rehomed?
My cat has been to the vet to be checked for a UTI. They could not confirm if she had one but provided treatment anyways. She has been peeing outside of the litter box since she was little. We have narrowed her areas of peeing down to the pee pad recently. I cannot keep up with changing the pee pads constantly and cannot afford to take her back to the vet for another check up.
