Lab Mix For Adoption in Marysville, IL

Cleo found a wonderful new home! Not only did our profile attract a great new family for Cleo, that family decided to also adopt Cleo’s friend, who had been living in the rescue with her. We are so happy for Cleo. It’s nice to see such a happy ending after such tragic circumstances.

Hi, My name is Cleo!

Cleo - lab mix adoption near st. Louis mo

I am a big, beautiful bundle of love waiting for a wonderful family to adopt me. I am living in a temporary rescue home in Marysville, IL, very close to St. Louis MO

My owner loved me very much, but he died in a tragic accident several months ago. I have been living in a rescue ever since, and really hope a great family will invite me into their hearts and homes soon.

I am just 3 and a half years old. I am very healthy, spayed, up to date on my shots and house broken.

I get along very well with other dogs and cats – and I love children.

There is some question as to my breed. As you can see, I have a lot of Yellow Lab in me. I may be part hound, part Boxer and even part Rottweiler. It’s great, though, because mixed breed dogs usually live longer and are much healthier than purebreds.

I am a big girl at 90 pounds and extremely gentle and sweet. I have a great deal of compassion and can make you feel better if you are feeling sad or depressed. I am also really good at sharing your joy!

My Best Traits Include:

1. Personality is very loving
2. She is very loyal.
3. Compassionate – knows when you are not feeling well or sad.
4. She is very devoted and would probably save your life if she could.
5. Playful and fun – a great companion.

I am looking for a family with a securely fenced yard and lots of time to spend with me. I love to play and frisbee is my favorite. I would gladly chase a frisbee all day long! I love kids and am a really good companion for everyone in the family.

I sure hope you will offer me a loving home today! I can’t wait to wiggle my way into you heart!

Love and Licks,

Cleo

Cleo’s Current Home Environment

Cleo is currently in a foster home situation and is waiting for her forever family. She is very well trained, obedient and sweet. Just needs a family to love her.

Cleo’s Current Family:

Cleo was the beloved pet of a gentleman who passed away suddenly due to an accident. As much as his family would love to offer Cleo a home, they do not have the financial ability, nor the environment to keep Cleo happy and healthy.

Cleo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Loves to run and play. She loves tennis balls. Her favorite toy is a frisbee. She loves to catch frisbees and would gladly do it all day. She loves her stuffed animal toys but needs durable ones.

Cute Cleo Story:

Cleo was found by his owner in a church parking lot. She was a puppy and had been left in a plastic bag on a hot day! Thankfully, she was healthy, fat and happy – the owner found her in time.

He loved her a lot and took great care of her. Unfortunately he died and Cleo is now an orphan.

Why is Cleo Being Rehomed?

As mentioned above. Owner died suddenly. Cleo needs a good home.

Cleo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Cleo wants to be the cherished family companion in a home with people who have lots of time to spend with her. Her owner’s family was Christian, so a family with Christian values would be fantastic.

A securely fenced yard in a quiet residential or country neighborhood are essential. Family should be able to provide Cleo with proper nutrition and veterinary care, and also give her the love, attention and exercise she needs and deserves.

Owner’s ex fiance would love to keep in touch with Cleo in her new home.
