All About Lychee

Lychee’s Personality

Lychee is a wonderful, loving, cuddly cat that has experienced loss in his life. He was raised with a Lhasa Apso puppy and the two of them played and rough-housed constantly. His ‘dog buddy’ passed away about 6 months ago and Lychee did have an experience of loss that was characterized by sleeping and quiet reflection.

His owner, (my sister) is also experiencing turmoil as she is in hospice care and unable to care for Lychee. As she has help, it becomes incumbent to find a home for Lychee before his owner passes. I believe with a loving family (children perhaps more mature) he would enjoy the embrace of a family for cuddling and care again. He is litter box and outdoor trained.

1. Quiet time on the couch cuddling and petting Lychee
2. Lychee’s gentle nudges when he wants to be fed
3. Lychee’s concern and attention to his owner who is in hospice care at this point
4. Lychee is totally a “chill” guy
5. Lychee is litter box AND/OR outside trained

Lychee’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Lychee loves salmon treats and sleeping!…….BUT, I believe with the right, loving family he would thrive and enjoy playing more .

Cute Lychee Story:

Lychee was adopted by my sister when he was only about 3 weeks old…..having lost his mom. He bonded with my sister’s dog, a young Lhasa Apso, and the two of them rough-housed, as if Lychee was a dog himself! It was crazy to watch.

Why is Lychee Being Rehomed?

As I have eluded above: My sister, Lychee’s owner, has terminal cancer and is in hospice care. She is unable to continue to care for Lychee. I (her sister), live on the mainland and it is my sister’s wish that Lychee stay in Hawaii. I am here for the duration and will see to Lychee’s placement.

Lychee’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A loving home, willing to take the time to foster a caring relationship for Lychee. He’s worth it!
