Hi, My name is Lambo!

I am a Brindle Male Cane Corso Dog. I am 3 1/2 and weigh 115 pounds. I live in San Jose, CA.

Sometimes the best laid future plans just don’t work out. And that is exactly why I am being offered for adoption to a good home. DIVORCE.

I am a great big boy and very devoted. I am very smart and easy to train. I am very cuddly and affectionate. I love to go on long walks and have a lot of endurance. I am a GREAT GUARD DOG. I protect home and hearth – as I was bred to do.

Mine is a breed that is not for everyone. I am very strong and capable of gulping down a Chihuahua in two bites! (Just kidding – they are too spicy for me!)

But seriously, I do need an owner that is very knowledgeable about my breed, and who is ready, willing and able to take on the responsibilities that go along with owning a Cane Corso. I have a dominant personality, and need an owner that is more dominant than I am. You need to be the Alpha dog – not me!

I am not a good choice for families with children or other pets. I need to be the only dog in a quiet home with a large, securely fenced yard. I need an owner that has time to give me the exercise I need and deserve.

I am a large, loving Moose of a dog, and really hope that someone will offer me a safe, happy and  healthy home.

Lambo’s Personality

I love how much he wants to be near me all the time
I love how easy he is to teach new commands
I love how he will try to cuddle with me if I lay on the floor
I love that he can go on really long walks without getting tired.
I love that he has great guard dog instincts and feels it’s his responsibility to protect the house and family.

Lambo’s Current Home Environment

There are two adults who live in the house, no kids or other animals. Lambo is an indoor dog although he does have backyard access. The house is pretty quiet and Lambo is usually content laying around with as bone or toy, if he has had a walk or some play time to get rid of his energy.

Lambo’s Current Family:

Just my soon to be ex wife and I shared the house and the dog. I was the primary walker and spent more time with him outside the house.

Lambo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He likes taste of the wild salmon flavor and he also likes bones and anything he can chew.

Cute Lambo Story:

I think it’s very heartwarming that Lambo can sense when your feeling down and will actually try to cheer you up by licking you and nudging you. I also love when he will try to use your face as a pillow.

Why is Lambo Being Rehomed?

My wife and I are divorcing and she is keeping the house but does not want to keep the dog.

Lambo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A loving home that can handle a big dog with a dominant personality who needs a lot of attention and structure.

Additional Comments:

I feel like it’s my responsibility to mention that he has acted-out aggressively toward other dogs and people in a protective matter. At one point he was licking an injured paw for most of a day and a half, when I tryed to inspect the paw he growled at me. During this same time frame my wife scolded him with a shaking finger in his face and he bit her on the wrist breaking the skin. This was the only time he acted out aggressively toward us in the 3 years we’ve had him.
