Fetch, anyone??

Brooklyn, NY – Looking for a family dog that is very possibly smarter than you? With his Border Collie super intelligence and his Labrador Retriever friendliness, Leo may well be that dog! This incredibly cute 2.5 year old neutered male dog is looking for the best home ever. He’s so good with everyone he meets, from other other dogs to people of all ages and sizes.

If dogs were placed as diplomats, Leo would be a shoe-in. He’s that friendly and charming. He is so eager to please, happy, funny, cute, and very engaging. He is also very well behaved, and already knows quite a few commands. He is house trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. You could probably even teach him to help you with household chores!

Leo is very much loved by his owner. She had planned to be his forever owner, but life threw her a curve-ball in the way of a relationship break up. Now she is alone trying to give Leo the time, attention, exercise and care that he needs and deserves. Unfortunately with her job schedule and living in a Brooklyn apartment, Leo is not getting what he needs, and it just isn’t fair to him. Out of deep love for this amazing dog, she is hoping to find him the right home so that he can be given everything he needs in life.

Leo’s perfect home would be with owners who own a home with a securely fenced yard. Ideally they would be home most of the time, active, and die-hard dog lovers. He would love a doggie friend or two, and some great kids to devote himself to. He has not been around cats, but would probably be fine, so long as they are accepting of him

Reason For Rehoming

My ex-boyfriend and I adopted Leo as a puppy 2 years ago. We had plans to get married. 6 months ago, we broke up and I am in the process of relocating across the country and my ex is not able to take care of him because he lives in an apt that doesn’t allow pets. The only reason I am thinking of finding Leo a new home is because I am never home now and traveling for work most of the month and he is not getting the attention that he deserves. He’s an absolutely terrific dog and it is heartbreaking to have to think about finding him a new home.
