Binx’s Personality

Binx is part cat – part clown. He will make you smile every day.

Pretty docile. He’ll play occasionally, but he mostly just wants to sit on your lap while you watch TV. He loves to snuggle during naps, as well. He can be a little feisty at times, especially if you want to snuggle and he doesn’t. 95% of the time, he’s extremely sweet.

He tries to eat most plants and ends up making himself throw up. We’ve tried for years to have them, but have ultimately given up. The family that adopts him will probably need to be okay with only having specific breeds of plants in their home.

Binx is extremely handsome. His jade green eyes really stand out against his plush, ebony coat.

Why is Binx Being Rehomed?

We adopted Binx as a kitten and have loved him his whole life. However, 3 years ago, we had our first child. We’ve tried for the last 2 years to integrate Binx into our new toddler-centered lifestyle, but there is constant conflict in our home.

Now, we have our 2nd child on the way, and we are afraid of things getting even more difficult. It’s just not something we have the capacity to handle currently.

Additionally, what used to be a minor allergy to his fur has gotten worse for me. I am a vocal coach by vocation and my respiratory issues have made it difficult to do my job effectively.

Binx’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Binx is a good fit for almost any home, but he would love to be placed with a senior, retired or work-from-home cat lover who has lots of time for him. He is a really sweet cat and a great companion. His soft purrs and comforting weight on your lap is very soothing.
