Sparty’s Current Home Environment

Smoke-free, 2 story house with 1 toddler and 1 mobile infant. He is the oldest of 3 adult cats, but was the last cat we adopted. He is well fed and cared for with plenty of windows to look out of and his own “cat area” where he can hide if he needs to be alone.

Sparty’s Current Family:

I am a nurse that is currently staying at home with our two small children (ages 4 and 11 months) and my husband is a local family physician. We have been married for almost 10 years.

Sparty’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Sparty only eats cat food, but is definitely not a picky eater as I have changed the brand of food they eat a few times with no issues. He loves toy mice, chasing a laser pointer, catnip, and running off with my hair ties. He also enjoys being petted & scratched.

Cute Sparty Story:

While living in an apartment that had a pond view, we had a group of Canadian geese that liked to relax close to our patio. One spring day we had left the patio door open with the screen door closed and the geese actually walked onto our patio. Suddenly, Sparty came racing down the hall and headed right to the patio door, but did not stop at the screen. He ran right through it into the middle of the group of geese and then realized how large the geese really were, even compared to his 16 + lb frame. He immediately turned and ran away from the geese and tried to hide along the side of our building.

Why is Sparty Being Rehomed?

Our children are becoming very aggressive with Sparty and our other cats and we have close friends/ family members with severe allergies.

Sparty’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A loving family that will ensure that Sparty is loved, well fed/ watered, cared for, and has the space and time for him.

Additional Comments:

Sparty is front declawed & has been only an indoor cat. He is also micro-chipped for tracking purposes if he were to become lost.
