Beau is very gentle and loving. He is a lap cat and will sit on your lap while purring and being petted for a long duration as long as you do not move. He is curious when visitors come and initially goes to hide. Beau gets spooked easily and redefines the term “scaredy cat”.
Eventually, he will greet them by rubbing against their leg. He enjoys sleeping with his human family, and will kneed the covers before settling in. He often brings us gifts (i.e. chess pieces, small toys, tools).
Unsure how he is able to carry some of the items due to their size and weight, but Beau is resilient. His favorite toys include the wand and pointer light. Even though he is a big boy, he is able to jump and flip.
He is gentle around other cats and children. He loves food and will join you in the kitchen as you prepare your meal and stare at you while you eat.

We prefer to give Beau the healthier cat foods due to his weight. However, he can eat a variety of cat food. We used Blue Buffalo for a while. However, one of our other cats preferred Purina brand for indoor cats, so we switched. We make the food available 24/7. On special occasions, we give him soft catfood.
Reason For Rehoming
Moved for new job; was unemployed for 9+ months; unable to locate affordable rental home that accepted pets and will be traveling often for new position. Also, grandson is severely allergic to cat dander; he will be unable to stay with us unless we rehome cats. Had to sell/give away most of our possessions due to the cat dander.
