Willem and Parker are both Male Domestic short hair cats to adopt to a very loving home in or near Charlotte, NC. These two very special cats are both 9.5 years years old and weigh about 10 pounds each. They are very handsome, with soft, white coats accented in grey tabby markings.
Both cats are in excellent health. They are neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and clean and well-behaved. While they get along with cats, dogs and kids, they would prefer to get all the attention, cuddles and kisses as the only pets in the quiet home of a single person or couple
This “purrfectly matched pair” have been best buddies since they were kittens. They do everything together. Together they can be great company and very entertaining at times. Parker is a real lap cat and very snuggly, he’ll come looking for rubs or a warm lap. Willem is still fond of playing with toys, string and ribbons, which means that I have to be careful what gets left out or he’ll make a toy out of it. Together, they will sleep, play and snuggle.
Their owner loves the boys very much. It has been very difficult to reach the decision to rehome Willem and Parker, but she is concerned for their happiness when they are spending day after day alone due to her recent divorce and extremely demanding work schedule. She wants the very best for them, and is dearly hoping to find a senior, retired, work from home, or part time working person who will cherish them and keep them safe, happy, healthy and beloved for the rest of their lives. At 9 years of age, the boys have many years left to add joy, laughter and companionship to their new owner’s life.

Willem’s Personality
I love that he will look up at me and lightly paw at my arm when he wants me to pet him.
I love that he cuddles up with his brother, Parker, after I get up in the mornings.
I love the way he plays with his favorite toy, which is a mouse connected to a wire with a stick. He will drag it around the house, hold it in his mouth, and then fall backwards onto his back.
I love that he is like a dog in some ways, and follows me around the house to see what I’m doing.
I love how soft and healthy his coat is and how he and his brother will groom each other with love.
Parker’s Personality
I love Parker’s huge expressive eyes.
I love that he will slowly sneak into my lap when I’m not paying attention.
I love that he will “pet” me with his head.
I love that he is a lap cat and is so sweet and loving towards me and everyone he meets.
I love that he is such a flirt!
Cute Parker Story:
In the past year, when I’m sitting on the couch and focused on something else, Parker will come up and start rubbing his head on my arm and try to get my attention. He will start to talk a little bit and will keep “petting” me until I give him a big hug and let him sit in my lap. He is always so friendly to everyone who comes over, and just loves attention.
Cute Willem Story:
Since I live alone, I rarely close the bathroom door. Every time I use the restroom, he will follow me in there and paw at my leg to give him love and attention. I will brush him with my hairbrush while he lays on the floor, and he loves it. He is such a silly cat.
He likes to meow in the other room for attention. When he does this, I will call his name and he comes running to me to be petted.
Current Home Environment
I have a clean 2 bedroom apartment with a large cat tree and multiple scratchers for my 4 cats to enjoy. It is quiet in my neighborhood, and my cats love to chase either around the apartment.
Current Family:
My ex-husband and I adopted 3 cats in 2010/2011. Willem, Parker, and Annie. Parker and Annie are actual siblings, and Willem was in the same foster home with them since they were all kittens. They have never been apart. My ex-husband left in November 2017, and wasn’t able to take any of the cats with him because he moved to Michigan. I work 2 jobs and am rarely home. Sometimes the cats are alone for 2-3 days at a time, which I feel very guilty about. They are all so sweet and deserve to be in a home where they get the attention that they deserve. I plan to move soon, and won’t be able to take all of them with me. It has been a very hard decision, but I would love the 2 boys (Willem and Parker) to be adopted together. They are so bonded, and I would hate to separate them.
Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Willem loves catnip toys and toy mice. He will sit on the toys and kick at them, then will sometimes throw them across the room and chase them.
He loves to eat! He will eat any kind of deli meat and absolutely loves cheese. I also discovered that he likes raw green beans that are cut into little tiny thin slices.
Why Are They Being Rehomed?
My ex-husband left in November 2017, and wasn’t able to take any of the cats with him because he moved to Michigan. I work 2 jobs and am rarely home. Sometimes the cats are alone for 2-3 days at a time, which I feel very guilty about. They are all so sweet and deserve to be in a home where they get the attention that they deserve. Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I’m hoping to find a home that is willing to adopt 2 wonderful, sweet boys that love to be loved. I think they would both love children, or an older family looking for some new family members.
I’m looking for a home that has time to give these boys plenty of love and attention. They are very easy to take care of.
