Meet Bear – Cute Little Black Cat For Adoption in Seattle, WA

Bear - black cat for adoption in seattle washington 4Have you been looking for a darling little black cat for adoption in Seattle, WA and area? Pet Rehoming Network is pleased to present Bear, a very special black cat in need of a loving, forever home.

Bear is healthy and has been fixed. He is up to date on shots and micro-chipped. This amazing little black cat has a very loving personality. He will constantly entertain you with his playful antics and amazing feats of feline agility and speed.

He can talk, too. Bear loves to “put in his two cents worth”, and has an opinion about whatever the topic of conversation may be. Politics, “mew-sic”, food…  And Bear cannot be petted enough. Ideally, he would like to have owners on opposite shifts so that he can get all the attention and rubs he needs.

Bear’s owners love him a lot, but have had to make the difficult choice to rehome him. Bear can be aggressive towards another cat in his home, so it is best that he be placed in a cat-free home. He has not been around dogs or small children, but would likely be OK with kids older than 10 and very cat-friendly dogs.

Bear will be rehomed with supplies and vet records. All you need to add is unconditional love and a safe, happy and healthy forever home.  Adopt this very unique black DSH cat in Seattle, Washington today.

All About Bear

Bear’s Personality

Bear is a very sweet and smart cat. He’s young, healthy and loves to run around and play. He also loves petting and attention. He likes to talk and can be quite vocal when he’s hungry, bored or missing his people.

Smart, loving, playful, soft, quirky.

Bear’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Bear loves to chase and play with little nerf gun balls and will often fetch them like a dog. He gets a kick out of running around the house as fast as he can and jumping up to the highest window sill. He is a wet food eater but likes the occasional cat treat, especially his daily ThunderWunders Cat Calming Paw Gel treat.

Cute Bear Story:

When we got our Christmas tree this year, Bear loved to sleep underneath it – he visibly missed it when we had to take it down!

Why is Bear Being Rehomed?

This black cat for adoption is being rehomed for the following reasons:

Following a vet procedure for our other cat, Bear attacked him after we brought him home, and it’s now wired in Bear’s head that his former “friend” is now his enemy and something that must be attacked.

We’ve tried multiple things (even pet behaviorist) for over a year during COVID and work-from-home to see if we can mend the relationship, but nothing has worked and we can’t continue to keep the other cat separated upstairs and living in fear.

Bear also doesn’t have a great life as he has to be locked out of the upstairs much of the time and gets yelled out when he occasionally “breaks through” our homemade barricade to attack Gold.

Bear’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Bear was friends with our other cat before the vet incident, though he was still more aggressive at play than we liked so I think he may be best in a single cat home.

He prefers women over men though is really fine with most people, so long as his new “house companion(s)” can provide him with the attention and love he needs.

He prefers to sleep with people so he wouldn’t be ideal for people that like to keep their pets outside of the bedroom, he would likely cry much of the night. Bear is an indoor cat and loves to watch the birds and squirrels from inside.

He is young, healthy and active, so ideally his new companion(s) will want to play with him at least a couple times a day and get as much entertainment as I do when he runs around the house at full speed.

Additional Comments:

I’d love to stay in touch at least initially to make sure he’s adjusting well and then would taper off once I know he is.
