Cream loves everybody. Colby loves Cream. And after eleven years side by side, these two handsome orange tabby brothers are looking for a loving home where they can stay together.

Some cats simply share a home. Cream and Colby share a life.

For eleven years, these orange tabby cat brothers have been companions, roommates, nap partners and best friends. Their family describes them as “obsessed with each other,” and the photographs of them curled up together tell the rest of the story.

Cream is the social one. Vividly tangerine, affectionate and wonderfully outgoing, he likes to be where the action is. He welcomes attention, opens up quickly to new people and is persistent when there are scratches to be collected. Give him a sunny place to lounge, something good to eat and people nearby to supervise, and Cream is a happy fellow.

Colby is his quieter counterpart. Gentle, shy and independent, he prefers to take his time getting to know people. He likes calm spaces and familiar faces, and he isn't particularly interested in being picked up. But sit quietly on the couch and let him make the decision, and one of Colby's sweetest habits may appear: when you least expect it, he comes over and asks to be petted.

Their family loves both boys deeply, but with two full-time jobs and two young children, life has become increasingly demanding. They have made the difficult decision to find Cream and Colby a home where there is more time, energy and consistency available for them. Their hope is to have the boys settled into the right home by the end of the year.

At eleven, Cream and Colby are not elderly cats. They are later-middle-aged gentlemen who have moved beyond kitten chaos and developed very definite personalities, preferences and routines. They come with the wonderful advantage of being known quantities: two established household companions whose greatest source of comfort is already built in — each other.

Their ideal next chapter is a calm, reasonably predictable home with patient people who understand cats. A steady routine, thoughtfully maintained litter boxes, peaceful places to retreat, affection without pressure and plenty of time to settle in will help these boys feel secure.

They don't need perfection. They need patience, stability and kindness — and someone willing to make room for two orange cats who already know exactly how to love one another.
