Cute Sade Story:

I adopted Sade from a large litter of abandoned kittens 12 years ago. I went to their foster parents home to visit the litter. She and her sister Phoebe crawled up my jeans and essentially “chose” me to be their caretaker. So I took them both home soon after. They have been very good emotional support animals, as well as good company over the years throughout life’s happenings.

Why is Sade Being Rehomed?

My wife has become increasingly allergic to two cats in the home and relies on medication to survive in the home. It has also become unfair to the cats to be so restricted in the home at such a late stage and age in life. We are also going to be doing some moving and traveling around soon for personal reasons, which would require us to find someone to cat sit and care for them for long periods of time. They might even be alone for long periods of time. Their quality of life has changed drastically in the last year and they deserve better.

Sade’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Ideally we hope that Sade and Pheobe will be adopted together because they have grown up and lived together for much of their life. They are very simple cats and really just want to be loved. They like windows, quiet nooks and spaces, and the ability to share a space like a couch or napping area with their owner. Someone with a home that is spacious, can accommodate their large litter box, and separate food supplies and beds. Someone that LOVES cats, isn’t allergic and is happy to share their home with them freely. Someone with time, care and affectionate to match theirs. We want them to be able to thrive for the remainder of the time they have of life.

Additional Comments:

It is entirely up to the new owner if they would like to stay in touch and let my wife and I know how they are doing. We know that people have very busy lives and other things to do, so they may not be able to keep up with such a request which is understandable and also fair. We obviously would be extremely happy and pleased to know how they are getting along in their new home. If the owner would like to maintain a relationship with us, and occasionally send updates. It would of course make our day.
