Bash is the sort of dog who makes himself at home in your heart — and apparently in front of the television, too.

This handsome six-year-old Standard Poodle is a 65-pound black-and-white parti gentleman with a cheerful, affectionate personality and an unexpectedly serious interest in nature shows. Give Bash a good romp in the yard, a comfortable place to stretch out afterward, and something involving Alaska on television, and he is a very content fellow indeed.

Bash has been deeply loved. He is looking for a new home because his grandmother, who was his person, moved into a care facility. His need for a new family is about changed circumstances, not a lack of love.

Bash is described as sweet, amiable and exceptionally friendly with people. He loves everybody. He is great with children, enjoys cuddling, sleeps beautifully, and is relaxed and easygoing in the house. He is reliably house-trained and does well when left alone.

Outside, Bash is an energetic dog who loves running in the yard and playing. The ideal home will give him room to stretch those long Poodle legs and people who enjoy having an active companion around. When the day's excitement is over, Bash is perfectly happy to switch gears. He is a good cuddler, a great sleeper and the kind of dog who settles comfortably into family life.

Bash is still learning leash manners and will benefit from patient continued guidance on walks. He also barks when he sees cats, deer or cars. He should not live with cats. His history with other dogs is less clear, so any canine housemate should be introduced thoughtfully and carefully.
