Just 6 years old and weighing 38 lbs, this deserving medium sized, non shedding and hypoallergenic dog is looking for a loving, forever home anywhere within a reasonable distance of Zionsville, which is near Indianapolis and close to numerous major cities, including Fort Wayne, Cincinnati Ohio, Louisville Kentucky, and others.
In addition to being drop-dead gorgeous, Smitty is what we call a “ready-to-love” dog. This adorable adoptable F1 b Mini Labradoodle has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, microchipped, leash trained, obedience trained, and crate-trained – all you need to add is lots of love, care, companionship, and some daily activity.
Smitty gets along well with people of all ages. He is welcoming of visitors, and has excellent guest manners. What a great dog!
One thing you can say about Smitty is that he is deeply loved by his owners. They are devastated at having to rehome their beloved fluffy blonde boy, but have no choice in the matter. Unfortunately, Smitty does not enjoy the company of other dogs. This has led to a few physical altercations, and despite consulting a number of trainers, this behavior is deeply ingrained in Smitty’s mind and cannot be “trained away”.
The best solution to this issue is to find Smitty a home without other dogs, and his owners are dearly hoping to find a new home where he will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for the many remaining years of his life. He is an amazing dog and deserves an amazing home.
His family would love to keep in touch with you, and to receive occasional photos and video clips would be amazing for them. Of course, this would have to be OK with you, as well.

Smitty’s Personality
Loves people, being pet and going on long walks or hanging in the fenced in yard. He loves attention. Barks if someone is at the front of the house. Ok during the day in a crate or just in the house. Has high energy when people come into the house, settles in a few minutes.
Why is Smitty Being Rehomed?
We have a puppy and a lot of visitors with dogs that make our situation very stressful. Smitty is a wonderful dog around people and kids but not dogs and doesn’t seem to be getting any more socialized with it after meeting with numerous trainers. We have to keep him separated by a gate because we don’t know when he will get aggressive. Great walker, loves doing tricks doesn’t shed house trained. Just need a home with no other dogs.
