1. Learn All About You and Your Pet

The first step is to meet you and learn all about your cherished pet. We speak with you by phone, email or text, and have you send in a detailed intake form so that you can provide us with the information we need to find the right home for your pet.

Our writer will create a heartfelt adoption story about your pet, showcasing their best qualities while being honest about anything potential adopters need to know to ensure a good match.

Our social media team members will get busy posting your pet's story and photos to our Facebook, Instagram, X, Linked In and Pinterest channels. We will also place listings on various online adoption websites popular in San Antonio, with our contact information. These posts are renewed every few days to ensure they are being seen by potential adopters.

4. Receive Adoption Applications

Once we receive an adoption application, it is carefully reviewed and then sent to you for your consideration, along with instructions for how to proceed with contacting, and then meeting up with a prospective adopter.

5. Finalize Adoption

When you are ready to proceed with an adoption, we will provide an online adoption agreement that you and your pet's new owner will sign on the day you transition your pet into the new home. We will provide you with all the resources you need to move your pet in with the new family with the least amount of stress for your pet - and for you.
