Dusty has the cutest habit of come up to us after we feed him – it’s like he’s saying “thank you.”
He loves other dogs and wants nothing more than to make doggie friends.
He is an expert cuddler.
He gets the zoomies when he runs off-leash.
In the morning, he waits patiently by my side of the bed until I wake up, and then he nuzzles to say good morning.
When he plays with a toy, he does a funny hop on top of it.
Dusty’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

Another trigger is wiping down the floor near his paws – he does not like that. He gets anxious when strangers come into the home. Apart from these triggers, he is the most loving animal.

Dusty is the sweetest boy. He can be very silly and loves playing with his toys. He gets very attached to his humans. He loves dogs more than he can handle and would absolutely love to be placed somewhere where he can have friends to run around with. He loves running outside off-leash and then snoozing it off. Although he has some triggers that set him off, he is otherwise the sweetest pup.

Dusty loves other dogs so much that when our sister-in-law’s dog tried to attack him, he just jumped away and it looked like he was thinking, OK I’ll try again later.
Seeing him off-leash or with other dogs is like seeing pure joy in doggie form.
Why is Dusty Being Rehomed?
We are having a child in a few months and while we’re certain he would be fine with the baby, there will be a lot of new people coming in and out of the house. It will be extremely stressful to him and it’s not fair to him to expect him to change. We will simply not have the bandwidth to deal with his issues. Letting go of him will be one of the hardest things we’ve ever done. We love him so much. But we are not the right family for him and he deserves to be the happiest pup on the planet.
Dusty’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Dusty would do best in a country living situation where he isn’t surrounded by cars, can chase interesting smells, be around other dogs, and not get overly handled.
