Salem and Halo’s Personality

Halo, our female grey tabby cat, is a little more timid- she likes a calm atmosphere and will stick to herself until she sees an opportunity with everyone sitting down. She is loving and will purr forever, she loves rubbing the top of her head on your chin.

Salem, our male black cat, is a cat-dog (cog), he likes to greet people he has met and loves kids, animals, flushing toilets and doing “zoomies” around the house. He is also very loving and cuddly but at any hour of the day really. Salem is definitely more fun than a barrel full of monkeys.

They love the windows

Salem and Halo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They don’t care for treats too much, Salem will make anything an obstacle course with his speed and hops. The love cat towers near windows, they love wet food- but are on a hard food diet.

Cute Salem and Halo Story:

Halo was actually found as a kitten outside, her tail was broken and she was left all by herself (poor sweet baby!) She’s kind and loving in spite of it, and according to the vet, it would be worse to break and fix her tail than to leave it alone, since she has no pain! It’s just another little thing that makes her very special.

Salem loves to be in your business, he flushes toilets, plays with the running water from the sink, and he will follow you room to room, carrying on a conversation the entire time. He is a laugh a minute, and very much one-of-a-kind.

You truly will not find a sweeter, cuter, funnier and more well behaved pair of cats.

Why are Salem and Halo Being Rehomed?

They’re just amazing cats, I’m just allergic and my boyfriend who brought them here left them when he moved out. I have been advised by my doctor to rehome the cats due to my worsening allergies.

Salem and Halo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Ideally maybe someone looking for an emotional support animal, or someone with anxiety. They have so much love to give.

Someone who will love them and give them the time and patience they need, they are almost 6 now so they’re not too high maintenance at all!

I would be hopeful to hear updates, or get pictures of them. I’ve tried really hard to make this work before I allowed this to be an option, I truly love them and want the best for them. I hope we can find them a forever home!!!
