Oaklie’s Personality

She is a very playful and silly pup! She gets very excited when meeting new people; she can wag her tail so fast that her whole bottom wiggles with it.

I like to describe her as a big baby. She will come and lay right on you or lean against you. She loves to play with her humans and her toys but also enjoys being a couch potato.

She’s so loving and sweet, also a big cuddler! She loves being in the presence of her humans and is just the sweetest dog ever.

Oaklie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She loves all kinds of toys, especially the big stuffed ones and toys that she can whip around. She has an emotional support valentine’s teddy bear that she takes everywhere.

She also really loves blankets. She likes to cuddle up with them but also she will roll the blanket into a ball and drag it around the house.

She loves treats! Especially blue buffalo bits and blue buffalo bones/cookies. She also loves the blue buffalo canned food. Her favorite activities are playing with her toys and her humans.

She loves to be chased with a toy in her mouth playing “keep away.” She also loves laying and rolling around in the grass in the backyard. She could sit out there all day! She loves naps and belly rubs too.

Cute Oaklie Story:

She is a drama queen! Sometimes if you stop paying the slightest bit of attention to her she will start whining/crying like she’s injured.

She will then just lay down in the middle of the floor like she’s playing dead, and let out a big sigh or groan that sounds like she’s deflating.

She will lay there until you notice her again. It’s very silly and dramatic. Also if she gets mad she will take a toy and shake it around and then stare at you until she gets her way.

Another funny thing she does is she will take my shoes and move them around the house. She doesn’t chew them up, she just secretly relocates them. I never have a matching shoe in the same room.

Why is Oaklie Being Rehomed?

Does not get along with other dog in the house.

Oaklie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I’m looking for a home where she can be the only pet! No dogs/cats. I’m honestly not sure how she gets along with children, as we have never been around any. But she’s super friendly with people.

She doesn’t live a super active lifestyle so she doesn’t need frequent walks or hikes. She doesn’t really do well on a leash anyway. She’s happy just having a nice little yard to run around and lounge in.

Although she can be a couch potato she enjoys her activity and play time! She definitely doesn’t like being alone for long periods of time, so ideally she would do better with someone who is home a good portion of the day.

She does well by herself for a few hours but I know she gets lonely after a while. She will need some patience from her new owners in the beginning as she adjusts to a new family/environment because she is currently very attached to her human.

I believe she will adapt well as long as she has someone that shows her love and affection and a safe/cozy environment. The new owners also need to understand they cannot take her around other animals/dog parks/play dates or anything like that, and they can’t plan on getting another pet.

She would definitely make a great emotional support animal, as she would also love an emotional support human.
