Meet Bear and Ginj – Pre-Loved Nebelung and Orange Tabby Cats For Adoption by Owner in Toronto Ontario

Bear and Ginj are a Male Nebelung cat and Orange Tabby Cat duo for adoption to a very loving home in or near Toronto, Ontario. Both cats are 5 years old.  Bear weighs 15 pounds while Ginj is a bit smaller at 13 pounds.

This pair of soft and sweet male cats are absolutely delightful to spend time with. They would make very good companions for a senior cat lover with a quiet home and a strong routine. Both cats have a health issue (as detailed below), and need to avoid stress, so their environment is important to their ongoing health.  They are clean and well behaved cats with so much love and joy to offer their new owners.

If you have room in your heart and home for this deserving Nebelung and Orange Tabby Cat, then please offer Bear and Ginj a loving, forever home today. Bear and Ginj can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Amazing Things About Bear and Ginj:

We love how funny these guys are. It’s the little things. Bear’s suspicious facial expressions. Ginj’s rascally attitude and kitten-like curiosity. There’s just something uniquely funny about this pair.

We also love how good they are together. We never have to worry about them getting into messy fights or mistreating each other. They like to chase each other and play fight now and then, but it’s always been easy to see it coming from a desire to play, so often we’ll just see that as an invitation to break out the wand toys and the treats.

Bear and Ginj’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cats, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

Bear and Ginj’s owners are hoping to find the right home for their cherished cats, where this deserving cat pair will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

Bear and Ginj’s Personality

Bear is a little shy at first, but his goofy personality begins to shine once he warms up to you. Overall he seems to be most comfortable around people with a gentle spirit, though teasing him with toys, or enticing him with food will bring out the wild side within him.

Ginj is very sweet and loves being close to you throughout the day, often curious to know what you’re doing. He can be very cuddly, and enjoys the pets. He’s definitely got more of a kitten-like personality in contrast to Bear.

Together they have a very brotherly dynamic. Equally loving and playful, and happy to be in each other’s company.

Bear and Ginj’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Both love to be teased with wand toys, especially the ones with fuzzy tails and mouse toys with catnip inside. For a while we also used homemade toys made of colored ribbon which also worked just fine.

For treats we’ll give them Greenies dental treats to help with their oral hygiene, but they also really love Churu puree as a special treat when they let us trim their claws.

Cute Bear and Ginj Story:

The one that stands out is when we first brought them into our space. We were keeping them in our bathroom to allow them some privacy before they got comfortable enough to come out and explore.

We weren’t sure how long they might take to get brave, but on the second day we noticed Ginj come wandering out through the kitchen, and sniffing around. After a moment he turned his head and noticed us curiously staring at him from the living room.

He paused briefly and then, spooked, darted back into the bathroom. Later that evening we managed to coax him out again with some Churu treats and seemingly this was enough to win his trust, because that night there he was in bed nestled between us, purring away, and cozying up with his new pals.

Bear took a little longer to get comfortable around us. Though it’s been a slower process, the little changes over time have been really rewarding to notice. It’s simple moments like having him come lay at our feet in bed, or dragging a wand toy across the floor and meowing a request to play that leave us charmed by Bear’s subtle and every growing affections.

Why are Bear and Ginj Being Rehomed?

My girlfriend and I have been fostering Bear and Ginj for about a year and a half. We offered to help after their original owner moved into a new living situation that wouldn’t allow pets. Now my girlfriend and I are planning a move out of the province and unfortunately we cannot take the cat’s with us, and their original owner is unable to take them back. We’re looking to rehome them to a situation that allows us and their original owner to maintain contact and check up on how they’re adjusting to their new home.

Bear and Ginj’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We just want them to feel loved in a safe and calm environment where they can enjoy the company of their adoptive family. Neither cat has much experience being around kids, so I think an adult household, or perhaps a couple with teenage children or older would be a little easier for these guys to adjust to.
