Mira’s Heartbreaking Story:

I had went to make a pick up one night for work and as I was about to leave and start work someone drove up and dropped her off (barely past weaning age) right behind me and quickly drove off.

It was dark and they were obscured so I sadly wasn’t able to make them out or their vehicle.(Sadly that spot is a popular drop off spot for unwanted cats/kittens) I wasn’t sure what they’d done at first. I thought at first that they might’ve worked there, but I heard a small sound almost immediately thereafter, and out from beneath nearby parked vehicles a tiny kitten came running out at me.

I approached her and reached down my hand to rub her and as soon as she could reach it, she all but jumped to stand up on her hind legs and meet my hand with her head. She had some fresh scratches on her nose and face from where whoever had just dropped her had thrown her out of their vehicle. She was very scared and it was very cold outside that year. I noticed her legs were unusually short, even for a kitten – she had Munchkin in her. I didn’t imagine she would last very long by herself, as young as she was and especially as cold as it was and as disadvantaged as she was with her shorter limbs.

There was no way I was leaving her there, so I decided I was gonna be late for work that day. I picked her up and placed her inside my coat and I brought her home. She slept the whole way.

Why is Mira Being Rehomed?

-Territorial, doesn’t like sharing space with other animals. Stresses the other animals in the house out.
-Not able to reliably financially provide for her medical needs.
– Restricted, only allowed in certain areas of her current house, should be allowed more room/freedom.
-Not able to provide as enriching of an environment as she needs.
-Not really wanted by other residents of the house. Would prefer she were somewhere where she’s wanted/with a family that loves her and can provide for her.

Mira’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Prepared/Willing to adequately provide for any need she may have: medical, nutrition, enrichment, etc. she may need/require.

A family that wants her and can/will love her as their own for the entirety of her life.
