Looking for an Australian Shepherd puppy to adopt in Bakersfield, California? Just 7 months old and weighing 50lbs, Anya is a beautiful black, white and tan Aussie pup that loves people of all ages and is incredibly smart.

Anya is fully vaccinated, house broken, leash trained and obedience trained. She is a purebred Aussie with AKC papers. Anya is a typical Australian Shepherd. She is not content to be idle and needs a substantial amount of activity to be content, happy and healthy. She is best suited for an active family who can give her the playtime and activity that she needs. She will need a home with a large, securely fenced yard.

Anya’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished puppy.  Her owner’s mother will have to be moving in with the family, and they cannot keep pets with Mom in the home.  They are hoping to find a new home for Anya where this special Puppy will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life.

Anya’s Personality

As an Australian Shepherd and also as a puppy, she is very energetic. This breed of dog requires a large amount of attention. They are considered to be working dogs and therefore like to be kept busy. She loves everyone and especially kids. She has never shown any kind of aggression at any time.

She is very smart, but doesn’t like to be left alone or to sit idle for very long. She does have a bit of a stubborn streak which she shows when she wants your attention, she is very determined to get the attention she desires.

She does have a nervous bladder when first introduced to someone new, but can be managed easily by simply ignoring her until you’ve been around her for a few minutes.

Why is Anya Being Rehomed?

We recently had to make a decision to move my mom into our home and are unable to keep any pets.

She is currently up to date on all but one of her vaccines, we simply have not been able to get her in for that one. I believe she would be perfectly fine with small children and babies, but she has not been exposed to any.
