Siamese Cat for Adoption in Honolulu (Kaneohe), Hawaii
Looking for a Balinese Cat, (also known as a long haired Siamese Cat) for adoption in Kaneohe, Hawaii? Just 12 years old and weighing 13 pounds, Hoku has been fixed and micro-chipped, and is in very good health. Hoku is a blue-eyed beauty with a long, silky chocolate-point coat.
Hoku is an extraordinarily affectionate boy that bonds to his human very well once he gets to know you. (It takes him a few days to make sure you are safe and not a danger to him). Once he has adapted to you, he is so sweet! He will follow you around the house, wanting cuddles and pets, and loves to sleep next to you in bed. He’s a very good companion that would be ideal for a retired couple or single person looking for just one special cat to cherish and spoil.

Hoku, in his current home, is not a happy cat at the moment. There is another cat and a dog in the home, and the two additional pets cause him stress. Hoku was the cherished companion of the current owner’s elderly grandmother, who recently had a stroke and is in a care facility. Her granddaughter is doing her best, but with Hoku not happy with her pets, and working full time, leaving very little time to care for him or give him the attention and affection he thrives on.
She is hoping to find a new home for Hoku where this very special Balinese cat will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for the many remaining years of his life. (Cats can easily live to 18 years of age or older).

Hoku – Balinese Cat For Adoption in Kaneohe Hawaii
Hoku’s Personality
Hoku is shy at first, but is actually a very affectionate cat once he gets to know you. It takes him a couple of days to warm up to someone, but after that he will ask for cuddles and follow you around, rub on you and sleep in the bed with you. He never bites or scratches but sometimes growls when he’s upset. Usually what upsets him is my dog and other cat.
He has had some litter box accidents as a direct result of his distress in the new situation where he is being stressed by the other pets and dearly misses his owner, who loves him so much, but is in a care facility after having a stroke.
Why is Hoku the Longhaired Siamese (Balinese) Cat Being Rehomed?
This is my grandma’s cat. She had a pretty bad stroke in January and is half-paralyzed now and unable to care for her pet. I’ve been trying to take care of him but since I work full-time and have pets of my own that Hoku doesn’t like we’ve been struggling to care for him.
