Looking for a Border Collie German Shepherd mix dog to adopt in San Antonio, TX? Just 7 years old and weighing about 60 pounds,  Chally is an amazing family dog that, along with his best friend, Winston, an adorable Schnoodle, is hoping to find a very good home in San Antonio, or anywhere in the US, or in Calgary, AB, Canada.

Challly is a healthy dog that has been fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, housebroken and obedience trained. Chally is good with respectful children, adults, visitors, strangers, other dogs, and dog friendly cats.

This handsome dog has such an awesome personality. His owners describe him as follows:

“Our pup, Chally, is a lovable 7-year-old lab/border collie rescue originally from Arizona. He loves to cuddle and thinks he is a lap dog despite being bigger than most laps. He enjoys playing in the rain, jumping up trying to catch it. He loves sitting in the warm sun and playing with our other dog, a small poodle mix. He’s crate trained and understands basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘shake.’ He has been my near constant companion for 6.5 years, he is such a sweet boy.”

Chally’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dogs. The owners are in the US military and have received orders to depoy overseas. Taking the dogs along is just not possible, and they are dearly hoping to find a new home for Chally and Winston where they will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life. The dogs are very closely bonded, and really need to find a home together.  The owners are willing to pay 50% of transportation fees for the dogs, and waive the adoption fees for a very good home.

Chally’s Personality

He’s crate trained and understands basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘shake.’ He has been my near constant companion for 6.5 years, he is such a sweet boy.

Why is Chally Being Rehomed?

We received overseas orders and are not able to bring our dogs. Chally is a large dog who needs space to play and where we are going that isn’t available. We also do not think he would be able to handle the extensive travel and potential quarantine.
