Bo’s Personality

Bo is a Beagle x Jack Russell Terrier mix who is full of energy and love! He is about 8 years old. He gives plenty of kisses and is always happy to see you, and will audibly communicate to you with a high pitched gurgle when he is happy.

He wags his tail like crazy, and knows how to wag just the last three inches to let you know your presence is appreciated. His favorite activities are running around, and playing with his stuffed toys or chasing after a tennis ball. Despite his high energy, he also has plenty of time for cuddles and snuggles on the couch. He is very playful yet lovable.

Bo is also incredibly smart. He does not bark, but will whine when to let you know when he needs your help, whether it is feeding time, going potty, or just wants a head scratch. He is trained for basic commands (sit, down, stay, heel, and release) and is potty and crate trained.

Bo will thrive in a place that has a yard to run around in and where he will get regular exercise, he would be great company for an active owner! Bo has worked very hard to lose some weight as he was slightly overweight in the past. His energy and determination have allowed him to attain a healthy weight.

Why is Bo Being Rehomed?

Bo’s current owners have moved into a smaller apartment recently and he is used to having more space where he can run and play. Bo is a high energy dog and should be living in a larger space that also has access to a yard or to an owner who leads a more active lifestyle (running, walking, hiking etc). Bo’s fear of small children is also a contributing factor for the decision to rehome.
