Emma’s Personality

Behaves very dainty, she has a prance in her waltz. She is content to chill for long periods of time so long as her minimum of 30 minute walk each day has been met. She has a relatively short attention span and will only like to play for 10 minutes to half an hour at a time.

She is an incredibly pretty animal and she knows it, often ignoring and giving the cold shoulder to strangers that try to greet her. Her primary motivation is not to serve like most dogs, however with a bit of coaxing with treats and incentives she can be easily convinced to do what you want her to.

Emma’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Rope toy for tug of war, Kong toy, Obsessed with walking (obvs), and I will usually give her 10-15 minutes of free roaming in an open area away from any opportunities for trouble. shes a little nervous when it comes to car rides.

Because i used to have a truck that had leaky head gasket (fumes). so it took a bit of time to get that association out of her head. I generally feed her meat whenever i can and she absolutely loves it. If I had to say what things have led to her looking the most excited and happy it would be whenever i spoil her with some delicious food.

Cute Emma Story:

One of my old roommates from 2022 had 2 toddlers that would come visit on the weekend, the younger girl (Devin) was I think 2 years old at the time. I was in the kitchen, dad was inside on hanging out with her brother, Devin and Emma were outside juuust out of my line of sight, but not out of my general perception range.

Toddlers, (being the way they are) have a knack for getting into mischief and as you may know like to push physical boundaries to map out what’s acceptable and what’s not. So anyway out of nowhere I hear a sharp, high pitched bark from Emma followed by Devin crying. I quickly rush to the scene to assess what happened.
“What happened?” I asked
“Emma *sniff* just barked at me” She managed to spit out in between sobs
“Did she scare you?
“yeaah” she answered
“were you hitting her?”
“yeaaah” *sniff*
Upon inspection it was clear she was completely unhurt, it was typical toddler type situation i just found it very cute and funny. In terms of Emma, she is good with setting boundaries but also acutely aware of the unspoken rules. Generally speaking, I cant see her ever hurting a child and she never has, even when consistently pestered.

Why is Emma Being Rehomed?

I simply don’t have the facilities to justify keeping her. I lack the family support, finances, and stable housing to give her the life she needs. Her needs and requirements aren’t large but for me (26 year old male) I really lack the infrastructure to keep her.

If i were to do so it would be at a great sacrifice to my future, you see my career is seafaring, which means i am away for most months out of the year, I do not have a girlfriend, and even to pay for daycare is unaffordable and still leaves me with anxiety that i have no control. (given if problems arise i cant simply go get her.)

Emma’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Somebody who has a certain level of routine and discipline. I am not too discriminatory with what walk of life they have so long as they grow to love her and have a place in their life for her.
