Helping Pet Owners Through One Of Life’s Most Difficult Decisions Since 2005

Pet Rehoming Network was created to provide compassionate, professional assistance to pet owners facing the difficult reality of having to find a new home for a beloved companion animal.

For many people, rehoming a pet is not simply a practical decision. It is an emotional one.

Whether caused by illness, allergies, financial hardship, housing challenges, military deployment, family changes, aging-related concerns, or other circumstances beyond your control, the need to rehome a cherished pet can bring feelings of grief, guilt, fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak.

We understand.

Our mission is to help responsible pet owners navigate the rehoming process safely, responsibly, and with confidence.

Meet Our Founder

Hello, I’m Debbie Moore, founder of Pet Rehoming Network.

For more than two decades, I have helped pet owners throughout Canada and the United States navigate the challenging process of finding new homes for beloved dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and other companion animals.

Over the years, I have spoken with thousands of pet owners facing situations they never imagined they would encounter. Serious illness. Housing issues. Financial hardship. Family crises. Relocation. Aging-related concerns. The loss of a spouse or caregiver. Situations where keeping a beloved pet simply was no longer possible.

One thing I have learned is that most people who need to rehome a pet are not giving up on their pet. They are doing their best under difficult circumstances and want what is best for an animal they love deeply.

That belief continues to guide everything we do.

More Than Pet Rehoming

Pet Rehoming Network is not a shelter, rescue, or pet adoption agency.

Instead, we provide professional pet rehoming assistance and support.

We help pet owners create effective adoption profiles, navigate adoption marketing, evaluate potential adopters, utilize screening tools and adoption agreements, and make informed decisions throughout the process.

We also provide something that is often overlooked: emotional support.

Many pet owners simply need someone who understands what they are going through. Someone who will listen without judgment and help them work through the difficult emotions that often accompany the decision to rehome a beloved pet.

Our Philosophy

We believe that responsible pet owners should never be judged for circumstances beyond their control.

Life can change unexpectedly.

Illness happens. Housing situations change. Financial challenges arise. Families grow and evolve. Aging creates new realities.

In many situations, carefully finding a safe, loving new home for a pet is not a failure.

It is an act of love.

Our role is to help make that process easier, safer, and less overwhelming.
