They would love to find a home where they can stay together and be kept safe, happy and healthy. They would love to find owners who can feed them on schedule and keep their litter boxes clean and fresh. The would love owners who are home often to receive their love, snuggles and purrs.
Charlie is a sweet senior. He is very unique, since he has 6 toes on each paw. (Known as a Polydactyl or Hemmingway cat.) Charlie is a plus-sized cat, which just means there is more of him to love.

Charlie and Shadow’s owner loves them very much and wants the very best for them. She needs to find them a forever home so that she can pursue her dream of working in a hospital in Nepal helping people suffering Leprosy. At age 63, it is “now or never”, and she is dearly hoping to place her sweet cats in a loving home before December, when she hopes to leave.
She is dearly hoping to find a cat lover who give these adorable boys the love, attention, care and companionship they need and very much deserve. She would love to keep in touch, but only if this is something the new owners are comfortable with.

I live alone. My office is in my home so I have staff in on a regular basis, the boys love everyone.
They have access to a huge balcony and love the outdoors there. The little one, younger one- Shadow (AKA Wee One) would welcome more action than I have here.

They have access to dry food and water 24/7, Purina Premium, salmon flavor preferred.
They love Temptations treats about 2 PM everyday
They share a 3 1/2 ounce can of EXTRA GRAVY we food about 8 PM
The boys play with balls, have a scratch pad that is also a revolving feather with red light that can be turned on. They play with this quite often.
Cute Charlie and Shadow Story:
I had gotten Charlie from a rescue company when he was about 5 years old, it was just the two of us for a couple years. One evening Charlie was chattering on and on out on the balcony. I went out and looked down toward where he was “talking” and here was a neighbor couple with a kitten, about 5-6 months old that they had been coming out and feeding every evening.
They were legitimately not able to take the kitten but had fallen i love with him. He looked like a mirror image of my Charlie. Indeed the 2 were chatting back and forth- Charlie from the Balcony and the kitten (soon to be Shadow) were talking back and forth, in quite a conversation actually. It was quite amazing!
Well, later that evening I couldn’t stand to think of that kitten out there in the dark so I went down with some treats and he became our Shadow.
That night, and I mean ALL NIGHT Charlie and shadow laid face to face under a raised sofa “”talking” back and forth. I had never experienced anything like it. It was as if they were working out the terms of how the household would be run . Quite amazing! They have been inseparable ever since!
Why is Charlie and Shadow Being Rehomed?
I am 63 years old. Philanthropy has always been in my future. I am leaving in early December to work at Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal with lepers. The most difficult part is needing to re-home my boys. However, I have reached the age that I feel- if not now, when? So the next stage of my life will begin.
Charlie and Shadow’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Anybody who knows cats knows there will be an adjustment period. Charlie is getting older, sleeps more but always love to have people around to love on him. I believe he would be fine with a small dog and definitely with Children. Not crazy chaotic but definitely more action than I have here. Shadow is quite the character and the more action the better. His personality will shine through and you will be delighted!
