We are Daisy and Petey, a sweet, happy and very well behaved bonded pair of 4 year old Lab mix dogs. We are looking for a new home in San Antonio due to no fault of our own.
We have been lovingly cared for since we were puppies, and we’ve had a great life with our owners. They are seniors, and have reached the age where it has become necessary to move into assisted living. We wish we could go with them, but they don’t let big dogs like us come along.
We are such good dogs, and we’ll make a great addition to your home. We are sensible, sweet, affectionate, great companions and have unlimited love and licks to offer our new family. We like kids and even babies. We get along great with people of all ages.
If you have a big, beautiful yard that would suit us, and a comfy home with lots of napping spots and sunny windows, we would love to come and stay. Won’t you offer us our forever home today?

This healthy older dog is 11 years old and weighs 20-25 lbs. Sophie is what we consider to be a “ready to love dog” – she has been spayed, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, crate trained, leash trained and house trained. Sophie is good with children and adults, other dogs and dog-friendly cats.
Sophie’s owner is devastated at having to rehome her dog, but there is no other feasible choice. Sophie has always had other dogs around her when her humans aren’t home. Things have really changed in her home in the past couple of years; her Mom is divorced, her dog friend passed away, and Sophie got used to having her Mom home with her 24/7 when the pandemic hit. Now Mom has to go back to work involving a lot of travel, and Sophie isn’t able to handle being home alone. She, like many older dogs, has developed separation anxiety, and is absolutely miserable when left home by herself. She cries and paces the entire time.
The best solution for Sophie is to find a home with a retired couple or a senior dog lover who can be with her most of the time. Sophie loves to go in the car, so can easily be taken along on errands and outings where she won’t have to be left in the car too long. Sophie has so much love and companionship to offer.
