Mr. Arty prefers to just be present with others and choose when he wants attention. He is incredibly loving towards me as long as I give him complete respect and let him seek me out.  Usually if I haven’t been home for a while and hasn’t had enough attention. He also is talkative – typically when he wants food which is often! I have him on an automatic feeder twice a day which has worked extremely well.

Mr. Arty’s Personality

Mr. Arty is a beautiful, big boy. As long as he isn’t hungry, he is very content to curl up for naps next to your side, rub up against you to make sure he is your top priority, watch the world go by out the window, and he loves a good chase and pounce after the laser especially in bedding.

He’s a talker! He will let you know when he wants attention (especially if you are on the phone) or when he wants a snack. We have a pretty strict routine for food to keep his cravings under control, but he runs hungry! He gets very excited seeing the neighborhood  cats in the backyard and loves to watch birds.

He’s an indoor cat, but I know he’d make an excellent hunter as he is very strong. He’s not much for being picked up, and over the years is still learning how to snuggle in your lap. But he’s quick to come over and curl up next to you or drape himself over a limb. He definitely wants to be the apple of his owner’s eye and will make sure to let you know he comes first when you are trying to work, on the phone, or are distracted!

Why is Mr. Arty Being Rehomed?

I am divorced and my ex and I each took a  cat – brother and sister who weren’t getting along very well. I have been living alone with Mr. Arty and am now in a very serious relationship with someone who is deathly allergic to cats and has no interest in having one. I also travel quite a bit, and I know Mr. Arty would do better in a home where someone is around more.
