Cute doesn’t even begin to describe Flip, a 9 month old grey tabby kitten for adoption in Philadelphia. This sweet boy is very healthy. He gets along with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. Flip loves to be around people. He is very friendly, and should be OK with children old enough to know better than to poke eyes or pull tails. He is very outgoing when people come over, and loves to follow you around the house, being part of whatever you are doing. He is very playful and has a lot of energy.

Flip was found on the city streets. He had very obviously been lost or abandoned. His fosters took him home with them after noticing him wandering around on a street near their pub one night. He narrowly missed being run over a couple of times, so they took him home with them. They tried very hard to find out whether he was reported as lost to no avail, and then set to work trying to find his forever home. They would love to keep him, but already had a full house of pets. One more was simply not possible.

They are dearly hoping to find Flip the home he deserves. He is such a loving little guy and needs a home where he will get lots of attention, affection, cuddles and playtime. Flip’s Current Home Environment

We’re a married couple with three cats already – one senior male and two adult females. All spayed/neutered. We both work 8hr jobs, roughly 8 to 5, throughout the week. Our cats have free reign of the house, multiple litter boxes, a HUGE cat tree and are strictly indoors.

Flip’s Current Family:

As noted it’s just my husband and I with our three cats – Schrodinger, Oppenheimer, and Dock. All three have formed a stable and close kitty family. Flip, being the new, young guy taken in off the street until he finds his forever home keeps them on their toes!

Flip’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Flip LOVES yard and boxes! He enjoys swatting at string, feathers, and anything that moves. Lazer pointers are a win. Don’t forget the cat nip.

He will beg for your food, unlike our other cats, and loves chicken.

Why is Flip Being Rehomed?

So this little guy was found last week running around a busy intersection outside of a bar we like to frequent. He nearly got hit a few times! When I crossed the street to my car he immediately ran up to me in distress – this little guy was lost! We took him in, not wanting to see him get killed, and immediately went to FB posting his pictures and trying to find him his family or at least a forever home. We even made fliers and posted them all around the vicinity of where he was found but no luck.

i love this little guy but we’re already at capacity with our three cats and four might just be too much. Seeing Flip somewhere happy and safe would really be a comfort.

Flip’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Well obviously: you have to love cats! Flips loves attention so be prepared to have a little shadow all day when you’re home, though he doesn’t get destructive when left alone so that’s a big win. If you have a scratching post, he will use it like a good boy. Flip is super high energy, so if you have younger cats even better. He’s very social with strangers and loves people. I just want to see this feller being snuggled and pampered and growing old with the right folks.

Additional Comments:

We’re currently trying to get him neutered, though due to COVID it’s tough getting an appointment. We would like to have him fixed before adoption but that can be discussed later as well.
