Mini Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia (Bala Cynwyd), PA

Looking for a Mini Border Collie Dog to adopt in Philadelphia PA? Just 4 years years old and weighing about 15 pounds, Sox is looking for his forever home with a dog lover who can give him the time, care, playtime and attention this sweet little guy deserves.

Sox has been waiting patiently for his perfect match – could it be you? Adopt Sox, the adorable Mini Border Collie, in Philadelphia PA and give him the loving home he deserves! Soz has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, and microchipped. He’s what we call a “ready to love” dog. Sweet as can be, Sox loves people and gets along well with other pets, too.  He is good with dog-friendly kids, but does not like to be picked up. If you try to pick him up, chances are he will pee. It’s a submissive dog trait that can easily be avoided. He is little and adorable, which makes one want to pick him up and cuddle him, but Sox thinks he’s a big dog – thus the internal conflict.

Sox’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but they realize that they are not able to meet his needs for companionship, both working full time jobs. They want a better life for him, and are hoping to find a retired or work from home dog lover who can give Sox their time, attention, care, love and companionship. They are looking for a home where Sox will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life.

Sox’s Personality

Sox is very friendly and loves attention from literally everyone. he loves being pet and played with just not being picked up. He’s never been aggressive with other animals or children. He’s pretty “go with the flow.” on days when we’re home he will just relax around the apartment taking naps but, if he has the option to play outside he will do that as well.

Has always been very very timid since we rescued him as a puppy. Sometimes will pee if picked up or while leashing for a walk.

Why is Sox Being Rehomed?

My wife and I are currently working fulltime and we had to move away from our home in North Carolina, since we’ve moved into an apartment its not possible for our dog to stay outside all day and just keep himself occupied meaning he’s locked in the apartment for most of the day.

With no one available to walk him or play with him he will just bark most of the day and have accidents in the house. We have tried to crate train him and have pee/turf pads available in his vicinity but he doesn’t use them.

Preferably having a yard or even someone who isn’t gone pretty much all day every day would be a great fit.
