Hugo is a funny cat with a unique personality. He is the most active cat I have ever met, he gets the zoomies and loves chasing a laser. He is very talkative especially when I leave for work and come home. He wants to be involved in everything and loves having someone who is his “person”. He loves to cuddle really close for a bit at night.
Hugo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
He loves chasing a laser and playing in boxes and bags. He loves cat nip sticks and his favorite squirrel stuffed animal. He likes both dry and wet food. He loves looking out the window.
Cute Hugo Story:
I found Hugo as a friendly stray living in the parking lot of my former job. He started hiding under the hood of our trucks. I noticed how skinny and dirty he was and that he wasn’t fixed, I wanted to at least get him fixed and find a home for him. It was funny how friendly he was during this time. He would follow me to my car when I would leave at the end of the day and be waiting for me (and food) when I would get to work in the morning.

Why is Hugo Being Rehomed?
Since the beginning (just over a year ago) it has been clear that he is bored at my apartment. I have tried everything: a consultation with a cat behavioralist, talks with my vet, toys specifically for active cats, taking him out on a leash (he did not like that), and coming home from work during lunch – nothing has worked and for awhile it has felt like I’m not giving him the life he should have.
Hugo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I am looking for someone who has experience with a cat, someone with patience, and someone who has more space than I do. Though I’ve never seen him interact with another animal, I really think that with a slow introduction he would enjoy having a playmate. The ideal home would also not have young children – he’s so active I don’t think that would work well.
