She’s the kind of girl who curls up like a polar bear rug at your feet while you cry through a sad movie — then promptly knocks over your popcorn when the credits roll, because feelings are hard and snacks are healing. She’s dramatic like that. Fluffy, fabulous, and very much the main character in whatever room she enters.
But don’t be fooled by her snow-queen elegance. Mishka is also a total goofball. One minute she’s channeling her inner wolf goddess on a mountaintop trail, the next she’s sitting on her squeaky toy like it’s a prize she’s just laid herself. Fetch? Overrated. She prefers to run dramatically toward the toy and then lay down next to it like she’s posing for a wilderness fashion spread. Because obviously.
At five years old and 55 glorious pounds, Mishka is a Great Pyrenees / Siberian Husky mix who has perfected the art of being your emotional support snow cloud. She’s wildly intuitive — the kind of soul who knows when you need a hug before you do. She’ll nuzzle into you when you’re sad, beam with you when you’re joyful, and always position herself within 18 inches of your heart (and preferably the nearest air conditioning vent).
Her favorite things in the world? Hikes. Patios. Chilly breezes. And vegetables. Yes, vegetables. She chews carrots like chew sticks, gets jazzed for snap peas, and considers raw broccoli a personal delicacy. Add in a dash of cheese or a rogue piece of chicken and she’s yours forever.
So why, you ask, is this glorious creature being rehomed? Like many heartbreakers, Mishka has a bit of a diva streak — and sharing her castle with another dog has become, shall we say, untenable. After a long period of trying to make peace work, her current family has realized that Mishka truly thrives as the only four-legged royal in the house. She’s not aggressive toward people — quite the opposite. She’s all cuddles, tail wags, and pure snowy sweetness with her humans. But another dog in the mix? That’s a no from her.
Her people are devastated — not because they don’t adore her, but because they do. They’ve loved her fiercely for almost five years, and they know she deserves a life without conflict, without stress, without someone trying to steal her spot on the couch or sniff her cheese. They’re looking for the kind of family who will honor her gentle heart and embrace her playful quirks. A family who hikes on weekends, lets her sprawl on the couch like a fluffy doorstop, and laughs when she makes her goofy missteps.
Mishka is healthy, spayed, house-trained, and fully vaccinated. She’s a protector, a snuggler, a veggie connoisseur, and your future best friend — as long as you’re not another dog or a cat. She dreams of a peaceful, one-pet home where she can give all her love to one person or family who’ll let her be both the clown and the comforter. She’ll sleep by your door like a guardian angel and wake up ready for adventure.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to adopt a soft-hearted, odd-eyed, silly, soulful sidekick — this is it.

Mishka’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
She likes all kinds of toys but has never really figured out fetch, she’ll just run to it and sit on the ground to chew it lol.
She love love loves walks and leaving the house in general (hanging on patios, going to the park, etc.)
She loves veggies! Will chew on raw carrots like a bone (also loves broccoli, apples, snap peas). We give her eggs with her food pretty often as well, and course she loves cheese, chicken, pretty much any people food you’re willing to give.
Why is Mishka Being Rehomed?
As mentioned above, she is no longer getting along with our other, smaller dog and the situation is just not sustainable. She has been a wonderful, loving and beloved family member to us for almost 5 years though, and has absolutely zero aggression toward humans. Just territorial toward other dogs.
Mishka’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
The biggest thing is a single pet household — I don’t know how she’ll do with a new dog given the issues she’s been having with her brother.
Other than that, just a loving, active family/parent!
Does the Owner Wish to Stay in Touch?
I can live without this as long as she goes to a good home! But would love the chance to follow on IG or even just get a yearly photo or something.

Mishka’s Adoption Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Mishka?
Mishka is a stunning, five-year-old female Great Pyrenees / Siberian Husky mix currently living in Nashville, TN. She’s 55 lbs of soft, snowy fluff and heart-melting blue eyes. Equal parts cuddlebug, wilderness explorer, and veggie-loving goofball, Mishka is looking for her perfect forever home where she can be the one and only pet.
Why is Mishka being rehomed?
Mishka is being rehomed out of deep love and heartbreaking necessity. While she’s an incredible companion to her humans, she has developed an ongoing rivalry with the family’s other dog that has escalated beyond what’s safe or manageable for either pup. Her family wants Mishka to have a peaceful, joyful home where she doesn’t have to share space or attention with other animals.
Does Mishka get along with other dogs?
Unfortunately, no. Mishka has a strong preference for being the only dog in the household. She’s not aggressive toward people at all — in fact, she’s gentle, loving, and very intuitive with humans — but she has shown territorial behaviors around other dogs. She needs a one-pet household where she doesn’t have to worry about competition.
What about cats?
No, cats are not Mishka-approved. A feline-free home is a must.
Is Mishka good with kids?
Yes! Mishka has a sweet, tolerant nature with children and enjoys their company. She’s gentle and loving — especially if they come with snacks or are willing to pet her endlessly.
Is she house-trained?
Yes. Mishka is fully house-trained and has excellent indoor manners. She knows where to go, where not to go, and takes her business outside like the sophisticated lady she is.
Is she crate trained?
Mishka is comfortable in a crate when needed but hasn’t always used one daily. She’s well-behaved when left alone at home, especially if she has a cozy spot to nap and maybe a window to watch the world go by.
Is she spayed and up to date on vaccinations?
Yes and yes. Mishka is spayed, up to date on all core vaccinations, and receives monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
What’s Mishka’s energy level?
Mishka is a perfect blend of spirited and chill. She’s active and adventurous when outdoors — she loves long walks, hikes, and especially snow — but indoors, she’s happy to lounge, nap, and quietly supervise whatever you’re doing from her favorite soft spot on the couch.
Is Mishka smart?
She’s very intelligent, intuitive, and emotionally tuned in to her people. While she doesn’t perform party tricks or ace obedience competitions, she understands routines, reads moods well, and always seems to know when you need a little extra love.
What does she eat?
Mishka has a healthy appetite and a quirky love for vegetables! She enjoys kibble with a little flair (like eggs, chicken, or cheese), and will happily chew raw carrots, broccoli, or snap peas like dog treats. She’s a bit of a foodie.
What are her favorite toys and games?
Mishka loves toys — but don’t expect her to return a tennis ball. Fetch isn’t her thing. She’ll run after a toy, lay beside it, and proudly chew it like a victory snack. Her favorite activities are walks, sniffing new places, patio-lounging, and hanging out near her people.
Is Mishka protective?
Yes, in the most comforting way. She’ll often sleep near the door like a little guardian, and she tends to place herself between you and the outside world — not in a fearful or aggressive way, just protectively. She’s a loyal presence, always tuned in to your energy.
What’s included with her adoption?
Her current owner is generously offering:
- Starter supply of her current food
- Her leash and harness
- Favorite toys
- Monthly flea/tick & heartworm prevention
- Any vet records on hand
Will her current family want updates?
Yes — but only if you’re open to it. Her family has loved her deeply and would be thrilled to receive a yearly photo or occasional update, but they understand if you prefer privacy.
What kind of home is Mishka looking for?
Mishka’s ideal home includes:
- A peaceful, pet-free environment
- A family, couple, or solo adopter with time and love to share
- An active lifestyle with regular walks and outdoor time
- Cozy indoor spaces where she can nap and be near her people
- A secure fence if there’s a yard — she’s part Husky, after all!
Can Mishka be adopted outside of Nashville?
Yes — but only within a reasonable driving distance. Her current family wants to ensure a smooth, safe handoff, so in-person meetings are preferred. If you’re in Tennessee or a nearby state and willing to travel, don’t hesitate to apply!
Is there an adoption fee?
Yes, Mishka’s adoption fee is $150. This helps ensure her adopter is serious and committed, and covers some of the costs of her transition.
How do I apply to adopt Mishka?
Just click the button below and fill out our simple online meeting request form. Once reviewed, her current owner will be in touch to set up a time to meet (in person or virtually).
Still have questions?
