Looking for a purebred long coat King Shepherd (GSD) dog for adoption in Hope Mills, NC? Jazz would love to be considered for the position of your cherished family companion.

Meet Jazz — The Heart (and Fur Missile) of Hope Mills, NC

If loyalty had a face, it would look a lot like Jazz — a glorious swirl of fur, heart, and pure devotion wrapped up in one beautiful long-coated King Shepherd. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just love you — she commits to you. The kind who’ll sprint across the yard like a rocket just to bring back your tennis ball (and your heart) in record time.

Jazz doesn’t just enter a room — she arrives, tail high and eyes shining, as if she’s announcing, “I’m here, and yes, you’re welcome.” Whether she’s chasing bumblebees with laser focus, rolling on her back for belly rubs mid–shoe-tying session, or showing off her speed that could make an Olympic sprinter blush, Jazz’s joy for life is absolutely contagious. She lives her days at full volume — playful, affectionate, and always ready for the next adventure.

But for all her exuberance, Jazz has a tender side too. She’s the kind of dog who senses when your heart feels heavy and quietly presses her head into your lap, sighing in sync with you. Thunderstorms make her nervous (like any self-respecting heroine of great heart), but she braves them bravely in her snug little ThunderShirt, waiting for the storm — and the world — to calm.

Her story comes with a bittersweet twist. Jazz’s person loves her beyond words but must travel overseas for work, and it’s become impossible to give her the consistency and companionship she deserves. It’s a decision made with tears, not distance — because love, real love, sometimes means letting go for the other’s happiness.

So here Jazz stands — or more likely, wiggles — ready to find her new forever person or family. She dreams of a home with open space, a good throwing arm, and hearts big enough to handle the joy of being loved by a dog who doesn’t do anything halfway. She’s happiest where she can run, explore, and be someone’s loyal shadow (preferably in a cooler climate where her luxurious coat can shine without breaking a sweat).

If you’ve ever wanted a best friend who’ll make you laugh daily, love you unconditionally, and remind you how bright life can be — Jazz is your girl. She’s ready to fetch your heart and never give it back.

👉 Apply today to meet Jazz — and be prepared for your life to get louder, funnier, furrier, and infinitely more beautiful.

Jazz’s Personality

Jazz is a Lively, playful and energetic “Fur missile ”. Jazz loves to play “fetch the tennis ball” if you are willing to throw the ball for her. The tennis ball “Chuck-it” wand can help toss a tennis ball 300-400 ft away and Jazz is almost fast enough to get there before it hits the ground.

Jazz’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Tennis Balls, Milk Bones and Bumble Bees

Cute Jazz Story:

I would sometimes clip a light on her collar at night before she tears off into the darkness at full speed going after tossed tennis ball that I lost sight of one second after I threw it. Jazz loves to play with my shoestrings while I am tying my shoes where she rolls on to her back staring at me begging for a ride in the car. She loves to chase bugs and bees.

Why is Jazz Being Rehomed?

I am traveling overseas for work for long periods of time and cannot adequately look after her needs.

Jazz’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I prefer Jazz be rehomed to a family or person that has space or access to space for her to run and play fetch the ball. I believe she would be better suited in a cooler climate, as her coat is very thick and long.

I really care a lot about Jazz and finding a great home. I wish to feel rest assured that Jazz will be well cared for and not go to a Kill Shelter. I am willing to travel to bring Jazz to her new home. It would be a tough journey home afterwards but well worth the visit to her new home. Jazz Is an AKC Pure Breed King Shepard from the Seaknight Kennels. Her Sire is from the USA and her mother is from Czechoslovakia. I can be reached at any reasonable time between 9am till 10pm EDT seven days a week. Please leave a message if I am unable to answer the call.
