When Luna was a kitten, we kept her in the kitchen at first until she acclimated and got a little bigger to be able to have access to the rest of the house. One evening we couldn’t find her and turns out she had jumped in the refrigerator when someone opened it.
Thankfully we found her soon after. But this and the story of how she came into our lives describes Luna perfectly. A friend of ours found Luna early one cold winter morning in his car engine. He called us to see if we would be willing to give her a home, and that’s how our story with Luna began. And who knows maybe when she jumped in the fridge she felt safe because after all how she was first found.
But these first early stories of Luna, so perfectly illustrate how resilient she is. Luna is a strong and resilient being. Her presence is felt.
Why is Luna Being Rehomed?
We have three cats (including Luna) and although they have all co-existed for several years, I can tell that it is wearing on Luna. She is stressed and not as happy as she would be if she was the only pet in the home.
We have done our absolute best in trying to provide her with what she needs but our lifestyle and the environment in our home no longer support what is best for Luna.
Luna’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Luna would do best as an only pet in a peaceful, low-traffic home where she can have full access to her people and spaces. She would do well with a consistent daily structure. Ideal for someone who appreciates an independent, loyal companion.
