- Naili – Alaskan Malamute dog For Rehoming in Tacoma WA
Naili isn’t just a dog — she’s your shadow on mountain hikes, your co-pilot for Sunday drives, your toddler’s gentle playmate, and your couch snuggle buddy after a long day. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just follow commands — she follows your heart. And when she drops her stuffed rabbit in your lap, it’s her way of saying, “I’m here, I love you, and I’m ready for whatever’s next.”
She has impeccable house manners, a crate she loves, and training that would make any dog trainer proud — including structured leash skills and reliable off-leash recall using an e-collar. She’ll proudly show you how she sits, stays, and charms her way into your daily routine.
Naili adores children and has been a gentle, patient companion to her human siblings, even the tiniest ones. She’ll rest her head on the console in the car to soak up your love and might even wedge herself between two chatting adults just for a few sneaky ear scratches. Her sweetness is matched only by her smarts.
Her one weakness? Squirrels. (Please don’t say the “S” word around her unless you’re ready for turbo tail wags.)
Her current family, absolutely heartbroken to part ways due to an international move, is looking for a loving home that can continue to offer Naili what she cherishes most: structure, affection, companionship, and outdoor time.
She’d thrive with someone familiar with Malamutes or willing to learn — a person or family who understands that dogs like Naili don’t just occupy space in your house… they claim real estate in your heart. (And they’d LOVE it if you’d be willing to keep in touch!)
If you think you might be her person, don’t wait.

5 Amazing Things About Naili:
She is the best trained pet I’ve ever had and I’m proud of her.
I love going on off-leash adventures with her. We love taking her to wide open places where she runs through tall grass back and forth having the time of her life. She’s a good adventure buddy.
She is so sweet and affectionate with our kids and I’ll miss her dearly for that.
She’s a great cuddle buddy and makes you feel loved.
She has a bladder of STEEL!
Naili’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.
They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving dog will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.
If you have room in your heart and home for Naili, then please offer a loving, forever home today. Naili can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Naili’s Personality
Naili is loyal and affectionate. She’s great with people and with kids (amazing with our toddler and baby). She is food motivated and affection motivated. She loves people and will follow you around the house to lie down in whatever room her people are in, especially around walk times. We used to let her lounge on the couch and she would lounge spread out on her back most of the day, and she loved snuggling on the couch with people.
With other dogs she is playful, though she starts getting dominant and pushy after about 5-10 minutes. She did great with a Male foster that we cared for, but with patient introduction.
She has a high prey drive, though has never caught anything. She is on the look-out for squirrels and the word “squirrel” is off limits.
Naili’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Food: Fromm family GOLD or Diamond Naturals Beef
Dental Chews: Minties
Treats: Jerky – Turkey or duck.
Activities: Walks, fetch (prefers sticks to balls), off-leash walks, snuggles, and she loves training sessions.
Toys: She has a pet rabbit that she carries around and nibbles when she wants attention.
Cute Naili Story:
Whenever Naili hears two people sitting and talking, she knows they’re likely to pet her while they’re chatting and will insert herself right in between them to get scratches. While driving, she often lays her head flat on the center console for maximum scratches by both driver and passenger.
Why is Naili Being Rehomed?
We are moving internationally and sadly won’t have the means to transport her or a dog-stable home for her in our destination.
Naili’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Ideally, I would want someone experienced with Alaskan Malamutes or who is an experienced dog handler or one who is willing to learn proper handling. She’s an indoor dog and prefers being around her people, so I’m looking for someone who is happy with that and who will take her for walks rather than leaving her in the yard. Naili loved living with a family and was great with small kids but I’d lean toward smaller or more established families. I of course dream of her living in a farmhouse with loads of land, but she also loved life just living in a small house as long as she gets love, play, and regular exercise so those are the main criteria.
Challenges include vaccination and nail trimming anxiety. Both have been reasonably manageable but may present a challenge for new caretakers without tips. I’m more than happy to pass on any/all of my experience managing those issues.
