Sadie is the perfect dog in the wrong situation. She has so many wonderful traits that make her so very deserving of a loving home. She is drop-dead gorgeous, super smart, very devoted, a great companion and a dutiful protector.
Her cons? She is nervous around small children. Like many dogs, small children make Sadie feel anxious. It has to do with not being able to predict the movements of little ones. From a dogs’ perspective, little kids move fast and frenetically, they have serious mood swings, and they like to grab and ears and tails, poke eyes, propel objects through the air, make a ton of noise – and they smell funny. It takes a very calm dog to take all that in and not be terrified. Unfortunately, Sadie is not that dog.
Sadies owners love her tremendously, but can see how miserable she is amid the kids. They want her to be happy and safe, and are dearly hoping to find her a home with an active family with tweens or teens, a giant, securely fenced yard (an acreage would be amazing), and the time and energy to give Sadie the exercise and stimulation she needs and deserves.
