Falcor needs a very loving home where he can be the only pet. He needs to be in an adults only home with a solid routine.
You have never met a dog like Falcor – Beyond the unique name, this American Eskimo – American Hairless Terrier Mix dog is possibly the most interesting dog in Texas.
A first glance at his photos might make you think he’s prematurely balding, but Falcor’s unique mix gives his happy face a puzzling pattern of bare skin from his Hairless side of the family.
The beautiful long coat of the American Eskimo side comes also with a keen intelligence and a need to be part of a team.
A household without small children is ideal. He has done well around children 10+ who know how to interact with dogs, but he isn’t an appropriate match for someone with infants or toddlers.
Someone who loves his individuality and unique appearance will be ready to love him as he will likely take some time to adjust to a new home.
So if you are a fan of the amazing Falcor already, then you will want to contact our Fort Worth pet rehoming team to hear more about having him join your family.
He is fixed, up to date on shots and very healthy. Falcor will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records. Adopt this sweet boy today. This very unique dog weighs about 25 pounds.

Falcor’s Personality
Falcor loves human contact. He likes to snuggle, “hold hands” (his paw on your arm) or give kisses on your nose. He’s a great nap partner.
His little bald head is the cutest thing on the planet. It’s soft and warm.
He’s so playful. He will play for hours if you let him. He’s very enthusiastic about life.
He is very intelligent, and communicates more than any dog I’ve ever known. He is expressive and observant.
Falcor is so loving once he trusts you. He really wants to make his human happy. He is such a good boy.
Falcor’s Current Home Environment
My fiancé and I both work from home, so Falcor is used to having someone around often. He sleeps inside, but definitely prefers to have access to the outdoors. We sometimes give him approved ‘people food’ – raw zucchini slices, carrot sticks, apple slices, blueberries, etc…but he is not a fan of bananas.
We go on walks occasionally, but not too often (because we have a yard for him to run in without the risk of kids or other dogs). He gets breakfast and dinner on a consistent schedule. We generally go to bed early and wake up early. We don’t often host, so he isn’t very used to crowds of people inside the home. He’s allowed on the furniture in our home, so he likes naps on the couch and looking out the window.
Falcor’s Current Family:
My fiance and I have two other dogs, aside from Falcor.
Speedy is a 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. She’s the boss.
Rufus is a five year old wire haired dachshund. He’s the floppy-eared goofball.
Falcor’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Falcor will eat almost anything. Eating is his favorite thing to do.
We feed him small breed dry food, but he LOVES treats! Because he is missing some teeth, I try to keep treats soft – hard boiled eggs, watermelon, zucchini, cheese, etc.
Why is Falcor Being Rehomed?
Falcor needs more individualized attention than we can give him with two other dogs. We tried for three years in hopes that it might work out. However, we are now planning to start a family of our own and can no longer devote the same amount of time and attention to Falcor.
He has come a long way since we got him, and has become a more well-behaved and happy dog…but he does not have the proper temperament to live around infants or toddlers. We are moving across the country in a couple of weeks, and decided that there was a higher chance of finding him a good home in a “dog city” like Fort Worth so we are reaching out while we’re still here.
Falcor’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
A household without small children is ideal. He has done well around children 10+ who know how to interact with dogs, but he isn’t an appropriate match for someone with infants or toddlers.
Someone who loves his individuality and unique appearance.
Falcor isn’t used to being alone for long stretches of time, so we are looking for someone who appreciates his playful personality and wants an interactive relationship with their pet. Outdoor activity is a plus, Falcor loves to explore. We’ve had success with him off-leash in secluded areas, but he could use a bit more practice before taking on more public situations without a leash.
