Bentley is a lovely mix of American Staffordshire Terrier (Amstaff) and American Bulldog for adoption to a very loving home within a reasonable distance of Dallas/Fort Worth. At just 18 months of age, Bentley has been fixed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is in excellent health, and is an absolute delight to spend time with.

Bentley has so many special qualities. He is the ultimate “love dog” and shows his love for his family in so many ways. He has such a sweet personality, and is very good with children.

Bentley’s owners are very sad to have to find him a new home. Unfortnately, Bentley and another dog in the home do not get along, and separating them is a must-do.

Bentley will thrive in a loving home where he is the only pet. Ideally, a country home would be best, since he takes his duty of patrolling the fence in the owner’s back yard far too seriously. A farm or acreage where he can practice his dog skills away from the city would be perfect for him.

Fence aggressive and leash/harness walking. He has gotten better with both but are still a work in progress.

We have been feeding him Gentle Giant. He has a very sensitive stomach so we do not switch up his diet because it causes diarrhea and upset tummy.

Bentley’s Personality

Bentley is an 86 lb cuddle bug that loves to cuddle up on the couch and to be pet and loved on. He also goes by Bentley James or BJ. There is also a long list of nicknames that we make up as we go. He is about a year and a half, and his birthday is Dec. 9th.

He has a crazy obsession with tennis balls and really loves to play with any kind of ball! He is a big ol loving baby who seems to be scared of the world (forks, spoons, or anything he’s unfamiliar with). He does very well with kids and any visitors that we have over. He loves to play tug and is a work in progress with allowing someone to pick up his ball to play fetch.

He is very sensitive (skin, nose, tummy). He is up to date on all of his shots, we have insurance through Banfield to keep up with it all. He has his heartworm pills, his huge food bowl, his own cot bed w/ blankets. We have paperwork from when we adopted him last April from HSNT. He has so much love to give and deserves to receive all the love he can get in return!

As far as leash training we have been working with him. He can walk with a leash/harness just when other animals come around he becomes hard to control. He gets along with anyone we introduce him to just doesn’t like people on the other side of the fence.

Why is Bentley Being Rehomed?

Him and one of our other dogs got in to it pretty bad. The other dog had to have surgery. He gets along fine with one of our dogs, just not the other.
