He is a very sweet and kind boy. He loves to cuddle on the couch and be with his human. He also loves to run around outside, if the weather is right – he will resist a walking in the rain.
Petey’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
He loves chew toys and stuffed animals, but he also likes to tear them apart immediately. He has regular kibble, loves dried beef liver, cheese, and broccoli as treats. He is more than happy to lounge on the couch with you all day, but also loves to run around outside. He needs mental stimulation as well and likes puzzle games with his food and likes a good challenge. He also loves to be warm, either wrapped in a blanket or in the sun spots around the house and outside.

Why is Petey Being Rehomed?
We brought our newborn son home and he didn’t respond well to the baby. We tried training but unfortunately we don’t think we can ever trust him around our son. We no longer think that we can provide the best care for him. Keeping him at home would put a ton of stress on him, as well as our son, and we feel it would create a worse life for everyone involved. He needs somewhere where he can live freely and be comfortable and happy.
Petey’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
We are looking for someone who is an experienced dog owner, and are preferably good with Bully breeds. Petey needs a lot of attention and someone who can stay on top of his behaviours. It would be great if he had a yard to play in and relax as that is one of his most favourite things to do.
He tolerated our cats and I’m sure could be trained to live with others, but he does charge at cats on walks. We think he could potentially live with another dog as well, he’s always done well staying with dogs on vacation.
This is the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do. We are absolutely heartbroken, but we know it’s what is best for our sweet Petey boy.
