Frank the Tank: A Love Story in One Act (And a Few Zoomies)
Let’s start with the truth: I wasn’t looking for trouble. Trouble just happened to be shaped like a fluffy gray blur with paws of mischief, the heart of a poet, and the energy of a caffeinated squirrel. My name is Frank. Friends call me Frankie. Enemies… well, I don’t have any. I just have some “frenemies” who hiss at me a little too much and don’t appreciate my… let’s call it enthusiasm.

But this isn’t a story about conflict. It’s a story about love — real, heart-bursting, nap-on-your-chest, chase-the-laser-together kind of love — and how I’m still searching for the human who’ll be my person. Could that be you?
A Little About Me (the Legend of Frankie)
I’m just over a year old, but I’ve packed a lot of life into that short time. I was born under less-than-ideal circumstances — my mom was a stray, trying to survive with a belly full of me and my siblings. But someone saw us, scooped us up, and brought us to safety. I’ve been adored ever since. Hand-fed. Snuggled. Played with until I collapsed in a heap of purring fuzz. I was the “funny one” of the litter. Still am.
Now I’m a solid 16-pound panther-in-miniature with Olympic-level jumping skills, a Sherlock Holmes-level curiosity, and a soft side I mostly reserve for the humans I trust. I’m a laser pointer enthusiast. A pro napper. A master of the sneak attack (don’t worry, I only ambush toys… unless you wiggle your toes under a blanket. Then all bets are off).
I’m sweet, I promise — just not in a “sit quietly and stare at you from across the room” way. I’ll be the cat in your business. On your keyboard. Peeking into your coffee cup. Following you into the bathroom like a tiny, dignified stalker with whiskers.
So Why Am I Looking For a New Home?
Here comes the hard part. My current humans love me — like, really love me. They rescued me, raised me, and tried everything to make things work. But I’ve got a big personality and an even bigger need for one-on-one attention. I don’t mean to be a bully, but I just can’t seem to get along with the other cats in the house. It stresses everyone out — especially the nice, quiet one I keep… chasing. (Sorry, Betty.)
They’ve tried all the tricks: playing with me (I love that), puzzle feeders, calming meds, time-outs, all of it. But at the end of the day, I think I’m just not cut out for multi-cat living. I want to be someone’s one and only. No other cats stealing your lap time. No one swiping my treats. Just me, you, a laser pointer, and a forever love story waiting to happen.
What I Need (Besides Endless Toys and Praise)
I’m healthy, neutered, and vaccinated. I’m also fully litter-trained (like a gentleman). I’m cool with dogs (especially the ones that don’t take themselves too seriously), and I get along with older kids who understand that sometimes I zoom, and sometimes I purr. I do best when I’m played with daily — think feather wands, lasers, or those crinkly balls I can bat around like a soccer star.
I’ve never been outside, but I get the feeling I might enjoy a safe indoor-outdoor setup — maybe a catio or supervised time in a backyard where I can chase leaves and pretend I’m stalking jungle prey.
A Final Plea From One Heart to Another
If you’ve ever wanted a cat who acts like your roommate, your shadow, your nosy little sibling, and your best friend all rolled into one… I’m your guy. I’ve got so much love to give, and I just need the right place to give it — a home without other cats, where I can be doted on, spoiled, and finally relax into being the incredible companion I was born to be.
So — what do you say? Do you have a couch I can nap on? A window I can guard? A heart big enough for a cat named Frank?
I promise you this: you’ll never be lonely again. And you’ll never drink your coffee in peace. (But I hear that’s part of the deal.)

Why is Frank Being Rehomed?
We love Frank and we rescued him since he was about 8 weeks old. His mom was a stray cat and the kittens were in jeopardy. We have two dogs and two other cats. Frank is continually aggressive toward our other cats, especially one that is very sweet. We’ve tried tiring him out, medicines, splitting them up, etc. — we’ve tried everything but he just needs to be n a home where he’s getting 100% of the pet attention and without other cats. We’e tried for nearly a year (his birthday is September) and we’re out of options.
Frank’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Please see above. Frank needs to be in a home without other cats. I think he also needs to exercise his prey drive with toys and playing with an owner. We don’t let our cats outside but he would probably do well with an arrangement where he is indoor/outdoor.
